I really love ringing bells and I have been since I was 10-11 years old. Now I am 17 and I still adore it. My origin is from Poland and Polish bells sound great but they are missing something. They dont ring manually with a group and with methods. And I am thankful to be in a country where bells can be rung in a different way to the standards I had in Poland growing up. Like in a sense they are used more like musical instruments and not only calling people for worship. I recommend bell ringing to anyone in UK Its something that you will never forget :)
Dudes got no muffs
a wonderful piece of British culture
I used to live & work, close to a church which rang bells. Now I live where there is church bells & miss hearing them, on Sundays & practice days, ho hum.
?
It's the best hobby you could have! So many wonderful friends of all ages, mental and physical stimulation, a beautiful sound and you can really be absolutely in the moment and forget all your troubles. It's something really special :D
Brilliant
Excellent vlog
For me it's the loose women and the heavy drinking.
6:22 🤣🥂
I’m new to bellringing and loving it
What, no ear protection!
I have recently taken up bell ringing. I am not a religious person however have found real joy in this and would encourage anyone, from any background or religion to give it a try.
This is a very good PR video, not too long and covers all the bases. I am a 5 month old bell ringer, unfortunately a bit older in age, and found it interesting.
I am a bell ringer and I love it! It is a second life for me. I have met friends for life and love conducting quarter peals and helping others with their ringing achievements!
🎉
A really useful video for picking out individual bells from plan hunt.
Plain hunt on 6 sounds like a dog taking a massive poop 💩!!😂😂😅😅😊

Yes
Good luck to that guy with keeping his hearing
I imagine they wouldn't let you up there without earplugs
I wonder how an embossed logo on a bell affects the tuning process? AC⚡DC use a one ton bell tuned to A for the intro to Hell's Bells. It's got the stylized logo on it and then the name of the bell "HELL'S BELL" is engraved around the rim. And of course, everything is all painted nicely
The Bell foundry closed in 2017 after 450 years :(
Rip
That's not a very fun fact 😞
That's a sad post.
There is still one in Ohio apparently! Don’t lose hope!
Nice one Simon.
This is truly an amazing craft
DAMN PAPI TUNE THAT BELL
The audio is still messed up - have a listen around 8-9 mins.
