    great fishing, but yeah you right, its a butt hole down there, the county doesn't spend any money on it that is allocated for it, but they blew their wad building that corkscrew. someones brother in law musta owned a concrete company. lol. and you know they laughing while eating steak and lobster on our dollar. the public park and boat ramp a little further down is a unwiped starfish also. the county and the governor of texas should be 'embarr-assed' of this for a showing of a texas beach town for visiting travelers. most or all will never come back.

      I wish they left it all alone. I lived out there in the late 70's+. Those were the days, including fleeing from Hurricane Allen. Could drive on the beach exactly 10 miles to the Delta of the San Bernard river. Don Juan Marina honkey tonk was great. I built screened porch and giant sign on roof. That new bridge reminds me of some big city interchange. I hear they paved Canal Dr. They wrecked it by modernizing. Sargent Beach was a quaint😂 fishing village. A hermit lived on the beach there on the Matagorda side of 457.

    • @vinceruland9236
      @vinceruland9236 2 місяці тому

      The bridge was a Txdot project. Not the county, or the governors project. We go there all the time. The allure of Sargent is that it is an old beach town that is under populated.
