Supreme Court Judges Watch This The Truth About Prop 22 Uber and Lyft
Yeah, you’re totally correct. Not a damn thing but giveaway all of the taxpayers money.
Absolutely nothing
Right on! I find out a three dollar is like enter your own risk. Pot smokers get in my vehicle smelling and than have to pickup others and sprays don’t work.
@@onewith1 yep, we definitely get them all. I train the app that I do not want any rides below five dollars once in a while. I will do a four dollar ride as I’m trying to hit a certain amount of money and go home other than that it is not worth it to open the door of your freaking car for $3.10, nor is it worth it for me to go to a restaurant and pick somebody’s food up for $2.80 just let those all fly by and you’ll see a decent trip. Come in 950 something like that good luck with those pot smokers, I’ve definitely had them in my car and then later another customer jumps in my car and go whoa. What is that smell?
It's sad that the employees at Uber HQ rub it in the drivers' faces that all the labor and resources a driver expends goes to put food on Uber employees' TABLES, while drivers barely make enough to provide for themselves. Corporate unconsciousness is real. But even Jesus got angry and turned over the tables in the temple. 🙏🇺🇸🙏🌎
You need a vacation how about the Ozarks
Yep you're telling the truth
Say it loud
California drivers love that prop 22 money don't they? $3/hr plus you get paid up is what some driver want right? Then live off government programs. It's a win for uber and lyft making drivers government dependants
I guess Prop 22 is here to stay…. It was upheld by the CA Supreme Court
You have a instagram or a Facebook?
But your gonna reach your quest or bonus doing $3 rides lol😂😂😂😂😂. Yep stop doing them Diamond
Yeah, I know five dollar minimum don’t worry. I tell them off on a daily basis. I’m just waiting for the Supreme Court judges to fix them and I very rarely do those rides because if you do, it’ll keep throwing them at you. It was just that she was on the corner next to me and I figure whatever I’ll drive 1 mile down the road with the lady, and hopefully get a decent trip offered
we should get 9.50, i drive in SATX
What city do you drive in?
you should get driver contracts outside of Uber and Lift.... It is called Entrepreneurship... Wake Up, you are too old to not know how life works.... sadly, you may never know
Hater get a life!!! I drive 7 days per week for the past 7 years. Do I look old from the Sun beating down on my face for 7 years. Well guess what I could run circles around you and as soon as I’m paid off I will be quitting… I am a Union Employee with a Pension and I’ve worked all my life to help others I’m not some type of lowlife that sits around stuffing their gut for themselves only. Besides that the second they can say that you run your own business you will not be paid according to the California law AB5 law so go ahead and be the entrepreneur and see how they’re gonna bend you over soon.
Increase minimum trip charge....$3.06 ? Crazy
I totally agree with her! There is so much greed in the world today! She and all Uber, Left and Doordash drivers should get hazardous pay!
NO greed rules. Reality 101 Money is everything & everything is money. if You dont like it do other work
That's the Humane thing to do aff hazard pay
They're sitting their office with AC increasing their own rates. That's about it.
@@MicDropBBQ I noticed that they only offered me one surge. I think the best thing for people to do is take the ride turn it off then turn it back on take one more ride. Turn it back off make it surge supply and demand 110° weather.
@@DiamondDriver1969 I don't drive for these $1.25 surges. We would rather get $15 to $25 more per ride by turning them into a private client. LOL! That cheap little surge is a joke, these days.
Sweet dreams my friend
They out here thinking we're independent slaves, not independent contactors. LOL!
My passenger app said for 1 hour I can have an Uber Driver take me around for $35/hr to start for multiple stops.
Well, the rate sounds OK and what percentage of that is going to the company 50 or 70%
They're out here selling slaves, man. If the app is taking $35/hr, then the drive is getting like $15-20 out of that money. These riders are better off asking a driver to take them around for $34-40/hr in cash.
@@DiamondDriver1969 that is the question I have too
$2.71 today lol HELL NO UBER
No, it’s absolutely insane. What they’re trying to do now they’ve hold onto my earnings because they don’t I guess like me spreading the word turning on the lights
@DiamondDriver1969 I got deactivated twice this week, lol it's all good and on my UA-cam channel I'm teaching everyone how to be a private driver and stop driving for Uber and figure out a way to get passive income so all Uber did is just pisses all off to create UA-cam content.
Did the CA Supreme Court already make this decision? How did you get this info that it is unconstitutional?
They haven’t yet it’s coming though here I’ll give you the case number
S279622. This needs to be decided and posted online by July 20. You can also sign up for them to notify you by email when the decision comes in. I don’t believe it’ll all the way till July a lot of times they decide before but it’s coming get the champagne out.
@@DiamondDriver1969 so there’s still potential for prop 22 to be upheld? I looked up the case # but didn’t see anywhere where it violated anything and deeming it unconstitutional.
@@rockypatacchi the Lower Court, Alameda county judge ruled that prop 22 was unconstitutional. The appellate courts were purchased basically to stay partially on the gig company sides, but also sided with the drivers the supreme court will rule along with the lower decision.
112 degrees in Phoenix today. I did my oil change last week on the Expedition. Doing a transmission fluid swap soon. I am not driving til later tonight. We don't get paid enough to beat on these cars in the desert like this. Hazard pay, anyone? These apps couldn't care less about the temps outside. They'll give you surge for snow, but not for extreme heat.
Jeffy, you better go to the pool that is way too hot
Also be very careful when you do a transmission fluid flush, whatever I did that once on my TBird and guess what it never slipped before at all but right after I did that it began slipping and when you go to put the gas on, it would go clunk and then start moving I will never let them flush my transmission again on any car I have
@@DiamondDriver1969 Never do a flush. Always do a fluid swap: drain and fill. The ONLY time you ever do a flush is if coolant gets into your transmission fluid thru the radiator housing, if your car is set up like that. The transmission fluid will look like Pepto Bismol. That's when you flush the system completely, torque converter and all. But if you're just swapping fluid, it's a drain - new filter and gaskets - fill. Done.
@@DiamondDriver1969 Already swam for a bit today. Yup. It's so hot out there...crazy hot! I might go back in!
@@MicDropBBQ me too. I’m just relaxing in my house right now with the AC on watching you and the rideshare professor. My daily routine checking you out on UA-cam and cracking up. You are so so funny.
Great move
When I started driving back in 2015 we were all warned to use two phones. One for Uber. And one for Lyft. Back then people were claiming they are being deactivated for using Uber. Or using Lyft. So now in the year 2024. They’re still tracking you. They’re still looking inside your cell phone. So in many ways, I stuck with what the rideshare professor had said. Use two phones.
They can get a bike.
Please stop giving anyone a channel 🙄👍
It’s called freedom of speech, gypsy get a life
@@DiamondDriver1969 LMAO no it's called stop bitching and get a real Job 👍
@@gypsy7818 and it’s called. I’ve had a real job for many years dummy. I have a pension and I’ve managed many places and I’m demanding my labor law rights once again you can get a real job.
@@DiamondDriver1969 😂😂😂😂😂👍
They're monitoring human activity so they can align the robots with exactly what we do, the obstacles we face, and any situation they have to set up the robot for.
There's no way it's FAIR that they're paying $4/mile and we're getting $1/mile for these rides. You can convert these kids and charge them $15-20/day and make more money that way. They wont have to tip and won't be called non-tippers. They'll be called private clients and GOOD PAYERS if they go direct!
Yeah, I know that but I believe that’s what the company wants you to do so they can get up there and say they don’t owe you a damn thing cause you run your own business we’ll see we’re almost to September 2024… had lots of good news yesterday lady tipped me $200 cash that’s my kind of ride
Why do you feel bad for them? I am asking sincerely, I would like to know where the feeling of sorrow for the students come from. I can’t tell if you are being sarcastic or genuine.
I feel bad for them because they come to the school pay 22,000 per quarter for an education then they accidentally miss the bus 🚌 one day and are basically forced to take a uber or Lyft that charges $12.50 to go 2 1/2 miles. To and from $25 per day. With a company that robs the driver also to use their platform $5 for driver $7.50 for the company just to link us to rider… basically the kids getting screwed all the way around and I know he is very upset about how much the company charges also as they only allow all of us to use the app.
@@DiamondDriver1969 yeah I feel bad for the driver. Students, not at all. They are on the road for tuition “forgiveness”. They need to tip $15 to the driver honestly. Who pays $12.00 to go 2 miles… geez man walk 🤣🤣 it’s a 15 minute walk. 25% of the hour people need to exercise daily.
@@joeschmoe2659 😂
You’re so funny yeah he’s an international student so I don’t think he’s gonna get anything forgiven these kids barely have enough money left to eat that’s what’s messed up
@@DiamondDriver1969 idk I think $12 buys a lot of ramen!!! 🤣🤣🤣 walk them calories off son!
That title sounds like it's referring to parenthood....
I always tip $10 for short rides and $20 for longer rides. I even tip half that for lousy drivers.
Pack a lunch, save some $$
We call upfront fares "offers to a contractor", in which we have a right to counter-offer. Since the app won't let us counter-offer something we don't like, we just talk directly to the rider for the counter-offer. Hey, if we're contractors, gotta act like one! Sometimes the offer is ok and it's worth your time/effort. When it's not, counter the offer and see if the rider is ok with it.
It’s a scam. The insurance companies are also in on it. Work referrals from your customer base. Play your game and make your money until you get caught making more money than they like you to make. I worked plenty of years jitneying customers before Uber cornered the market. Cab companies existed back then and were the competition that didn’t matter. Uber won’t matter either if you build up your customer base. Don’t tell your insurance company nothing about nothing. They are you nemesis and NEVER on your side. They post out because they have to pay out. They will fight you tooth and nail not to pay out any claim. One accident is all it takes to mess up your money. Doesn’t matter if you are legit or not in their eyes. They will raise your rates guaranteed. Therefore Play by your own rules and not theirs. What I’m telling you to do is NOT criminal. It’s smart and undermines their crooked system.-Godspeed!
Commie-fornia 😢
Did you vote Democrat ??
Hell no!!! Never
Same here in southern California. Im starting to see $2.65 rides, 8 miles, 10 minutes of driving!
That is insane. I guess they now have new people that are stupid enough to take that…. Biden Administration and Soros just brought them all over for them….
Horrible
Diamond driver thank you for getting back to me. I drive over in Sacramento. There’s a UA-cam video that I think you might find interesting if you haven’t already seen it. The title is how Uber screwed you and your driver to make its profit. The group posting is called More perfect Union. What they describe is taking place in Colorado I’d like to see us do something similar in California.
Peace Thank you, thank you, thank you! 🙏
I’m curious, what city are you driving in and are you driving Uber or Lyft or both? Also, what are you driving? Dara needs to be made to live on and support his family on the salary of a driver. Do you think some transparency would help? Show the riders and the drivers what the rider pays, show the percentage that goes to Lyft or Uber and show the percentage that goes to the driver. Personally, I like the idea of a strike how about we all stop driving for Uber just one day do you think they would get the hint?
I drive mostly in the Bay Area and I mostly drive students around at this point for safety reasons. I don’t drive at night and I used to drive for Lyft but I only drive for Uber now this is an absolute joke at this stage of the game and yes, let’s strike on, but we need to do it for like a week at a time I’m just waiting for the Supreme Court to put them in their place
There's no way possible these rates can sustain LIFE in 2024 with the expenses we have. These apps are using us as the suckers willing fund THEIR lifestyle, while we do all the work and grovel for challenges that pay $1/ride. I laugh at those challenges and don't let them keep me on the app. That's what they are trying to do: if you stay on the app, you can get $70 for the next 70 rides you do for us! LOL!
Yep, that’s exactly why I’m waiting for the Supreme Court in California to knock them down. Also, I’m trying to figure out how the hell they go about questioning you about your truck when they’re letting all of these people crossing the border sign right up with no background check and do these rides and deliveries for them.
I declined some $4 rides today. The distance and price so not worth it.
Yes, what they’re offering today is a bunch of garbage. Go home. Have lunch. Take a break. Watch TV maybe later tonight something will pick up.
My first month using the Uber app (May 2024) Syracuse NY Customers paid: $5,521.17 I Earned: $3,509.11 My Earnings Percentage 63.5% Uber's $$ Cut $2,012.06

Kind of makes you think 🤔 is it the customers tip baiting or is the company?
We pretty much know when it happens to often
Especially if they are very nice people they so no matter what their tipping they are dressed in a Business suit being dropped in the Wine Country at a Beautiful Home with lots of land surrounding it Grape 🍇 Vines. Yeah I believe they will tip $100 Comfort Trip
So if prop 22 does not pass 2 or 3 months from now what happens?
They can leave the state of California and go into a Third World country and do that shit
