Oh! I can’t believe I missed this video. That’s fantastic that it bloomed for you right away. Wait for the seed pod. This one is self fertile.
Hahaha, yes, I've already got it!! Split wide open full of seeds!! Thanks for watching Ana!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace,Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
Beautiful big euphorias I love the crown of thorns I am trying to propagate from mine have a great week ahead from the Carolina’s
Thanks Gary !!! Propagation of the crown of thorns is very easy, you shouldn't have any problems with it. Mine started as a rough looking little plant that was in the greenhouse I worked in 40 years ago. I had asked the owner what price to put on it and she said , take it home!! So over the years I trained it into a tree using metal rods to train it. Otherwise it would be all over the place!! Thanks for watching!!! And enjoy your crown of thorns!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to the Carolinas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
Hahaha, truly amazing Clyde, I LOVE it! Sending you very best wishes for an awesome weekend my friend!

I love your new roof! Looks brighter inside your greenhouse. I’m sure your plans will all appreciate the additional light. I’m happy your old Mammillaria is finally rooting and those tiny Sulcorebutia cuttings now growing. 😊 Im surprised at how fast you can grow the Euphorbia seedlings even if they are not in a bag. Oh! My Euphorbia hybrid seedling is now flowering?!!! And it’s a “she”. The siblings of that with me has not flowered yet. Wow, that is awesome! 🤩
Thanks Ana!! Yes I'm very glad to get that roof finished!! I'm not fond of being up that high off the ground!! I still have to do some silicon sealing though. Gotta get it done before winter!! Yes, om quite relieved to see the hahniana rooting, still have to be careful with it because of such a large cut. Yes!! Isn't it amazing that your little obesa X anoplia is blooming!! Maybe cause of cooler temperatures in the house under lights, not sure. Wish I had another male Euphorbia in bloom to cross it with it. But all my Euphorbias that are blooming that I think would be compatible species are females blooming. So as for now no new hybrids with it. Yes, I always have better luck with my Euphorbia seedlings when I uncover them after they sprout, and then wait for others to come up later in the same pot uncovered. I've had loses if I leave them covered after they sprout. Seems they like fresh air after they sprout in my experience. Then again, you live in a much hotter , dryer climate than us. We stay a bit more humid here and it would be a rare occurrence to get to 115° - 120° . Last summer we had a heat index reach 115. Cause of heat and humidity together. But not actual temperatures. Thanks for watching Ana!!! Hope you get a break in that heat soon!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Las Vegas, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
What kind of soil do you use for your airocarpus if you don’t mind me asking I put 3 parts pumice to one part soil just bought some and they came bare root
You sound about right. I used to use perlite & limestone. But to be honest, I have no more of them. Not from bad soil, but from cactus scale ! They get down in the wool and you don't see them until it's too late. After losing them to this I haven't bought any more. I believe the only way to do these is add some granular systemic insecticide to the soil to prevent this. Thanks for watching! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
Man, if that ever happens again I’d buy the fallen Scions.
As grafting stock, obviously
These have a short shelf life so to speak. They should be grafted as soon as they come off the mother. Within a week they start going soft. Best place to get these cheap is buy the grafted plants at a big box store, cut them off the graft and regraft immediately to a better stock . Such as stenocereus prunosus. That's what I did with mine. The result is bigger plants, longer lasting scions. Instead of living a couple of years. They will live decades!! Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
@@morrisparkintheozarks6831Solid advice. Appreciate it, sir.
That's better Clyde 😎 Trees are ok but it's better to have a cactus there 😁 Roof is looking good too, i've got a bit of repair on mine as the fleece I put up as an extra layer last year has started to break down 😬 Have to find some tunnel polythene. Hope you have a lovely evening 😊😊🌵🌵🏜🏜
Thanks Ziggy!! Yeah, Deb doesn't want one there anymore so a cactus sitting in it is the next best thing!!! Yeah, glad to have the panels done!! Don't like being up there much. Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to the UK 🇬🇧, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
Awesome update, Clyde 😊 Everything looking good but a shame about the virosa. Good to see sone roots on the Mammillaria. Nice to see a bloom on the asterias 😊 Glad to see the rust issue is hopefully sorted out. Thank you for sharing with us as always my friend. Have a wonderful day and week from Edith & myself to you & Deb 🌵☀️🌺🌼🌸🏜
Thanks Daz!!! Yeah, really wish the virosa would have worked out. But, can't win em all!! Yes hopefully the hahniana will continue to root and not rot part way through. Yes the little Astrophytum asterias is really doing well with its little lophophora hitch hiker!! Thanks for watching Daz!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 and Singapore 🇸🇬 have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
Very beautiful update! Your euphorbias are as always amazing! Wishing you a beautiful week ahead! 🌵🏜🌼🌞

Good news on the rust control. I will remember using alcohol. The roof looks great. Did you do the work yourself?
I had some 91% alcohol and just decided to try it!! A lucky find!! Yes, I did the work and hated every minute!! I do not not like heights !!! But had no one else to do it. i put the last one on 24 years ago. Very scary up there!!! Had two 1x 12 boards 8 ft long up there for a bridge . Still have to go up and do some caulking in the seams. Yes it's much better than the old panels which had sooty mold on them and had grown opaque from sun damage over the years and restricted the sunlight. This should help keep it warmer during the winter. More sunlight more warmth. Thanks for watching Bill!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Atlanta, have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍

Parodia aureispina was the first cactus that I had bloom back in 1971 or 72. I had ordered it from a nursery out west and it arrived bareroot, as most plants were back then. Back then, I thought the blooms were wonderful, and this video shows me I was right. You will probably get more than one bloom from that Matucana. Mine reblooms often during the year. I watched a video about the different species of Matucana and their habitat a couple weeks ago, the man said that they seemed to be triggered into blooming by rainfall. That has been my experience also. They even bloom in winter if there is warmth and sufficient light.
My aurespina is coming into its second blooming now. My matucana is just starting to but for its first round of the year. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks , have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
You better get off your phone while you are on the roof!!!!!😡😮 I did not know you were doing that!!!! This is your wife!!!!!
Cor, that's a good one Clyde 😎🌿🏜️🌵
Thanks Ziggy!!! When I first bought this one I thought it was a parodia! But when I saw its first bud I knew it had to be an Echinopsis or a lobivia!! Then as the bud grew I knew it was Echinopsis!! The flowers are smaller than say, subdenudata , but definitely Echinopsis!! Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
@@morrisparkintheozarks6831 I had one that turned out to be an Echinopsis too 😁😁🌵🌵

@@morrisparkintheozarks6831 Thank you for your wonderful comment! I don't have this cactus and is the first time that I see it. Have a great day! 🌵🏜🌞🌼👍
Hi Clyde! That's a lot of wood that you have there now for the heating of your greenhouse, great job! And excellent to see that there are new shoots coming up from that Mimosa tree stump already! How old was the tree that you cut down, do they grow back quite quickly? Some wonderful Tillandsia and Epiphyllum that you have growing and hanging in the tree. I do the same in the summers, these plants really like hanging out (no punn intended, haha) in these outside summer locations! I love your wonderful garden, my friend! Sending you very best greetings to Morris Park in the Ozarks, USA!
The tree was about 25 years old in all. It's the second time it's grown. It was blown down in a storm 15 years ago and grew back. I would like to see it come back, at least by seedlings, which there are now hundreds ,!!! A very prolific tree and fast growing!! A tree 3 years old will be 5 ft tall and start to bloom!! I now have a large cliestocactus sitting in the center between the old stumps. of the tree Deb says she doesn't want the tree there again. We will see. And yes ,all that wood will definitely not go to waste!! Thanks for watching Joe!!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Bavaria, Germany 🇩🇪 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌿🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍
Wow are you sure you can't root them ?
The graft stock can be cut short and hidden, I did this to one 15 years ago and its huge now..
Nice tidy job Clyde 🙂 Good use for the wood too. I've got a few dumpy bags of firewood saved up now too 🙂🙂🌵🌵
Yes, I feel better when it's not wasted. It will keep life going!! Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks out to the UK 🇬🇧 have a wonderful week ahead!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌿🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍
Great video! I was wondering how old that euphorbia mammillaris is. Also, what size pot do you have it in?
This plant is over 10 years old. The pot is 6 in wide, 8 deep. Both plant and pot were purchased at Walmart at different times. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love,!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍
I know that you have been busy with your yard work, but how is the rust treatment going?
I think I have it whooped on the Euphorbia and gymnocalyciums! Spots have turned dark on the Euphorbia. Spots have turned tan color on the gymnocalyciums. Bothe are good signs. The tan is a scar left from the rust when it died. The dark patches are the rust dying. This is an ever present danger! Rust will always be here. Thanks for watching Bill!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, out to Atlanta, have a wonderful evening!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌿🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍
Beautiful! 👏👏👏
Thanks!!! And thanks for watching!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌹🌿🌸🌳🪴🌾😃👍
FANTASTIC job you have done removing your old Mimosa tree and thats brilliant you will be able to use all the wood for this winters heat in your greenhouse, and your Tillandsias look AMAZING, your big Epiphyllum strictum is a STUNNER and fantastic care tips and info you have shared, thanks so much for sharing with us Clyde, and sending you and beautiful Deb and all the pets and plants all lots of love and happiness and PEACE, LOVE, PLANTS and PLANT POWER to Morris Park for a fantastic weekend XXXX <3

Oh no so sorry to hear you have to cut down your old Mimosa tree Clyde, but thats fantastic you have the seedlings to carry on with this tree, awwww now we are off to watch part two haha XXXX <3
I just ordered a little 4" rooted cutting. I can't wait to grow it up.
Job well done, Clyde & Deb. As you said it wont go to waste and help keep your plants in the greenhouse warm over the winter. Thank you for sharing with us my friend. Have a lovely day and upcoming weekend from Edith & myself to you both 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜

Well done Clyde, it had to go 😬 Hope you had a beer after that 🙂🙂🌳🌳
Hahaha , well a jug of ice water and a fan anyway. Was pretty hot, 96°F it's all loaded in the truck & ready to stack on the wood pile. It will help keep my plants warm this winter!!! And most likely it will grow back from roots or the many seedlings that were under it. Thanks for watching Ziggy!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks,to the UK 🇬🇧 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love,Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌸🌳🪴🌹🌿🌾😃👍
That's a shame, Clyde. But if it has to go it has to go. Our big cherry tree had to go a few years back as it was diseased and dangerous. Plus it stole all the afternoon light from the greenhouse. Thank you for sharing with us my friend. Have a wonderful day from Edith & myself to you & Deb 🌵☀️🌸🌼🌺🏜
Yes, it's sad, but it's a Phoenix, it will probably grow back from the root. It went down in a storm before. Grew right back. Or might just let a seedling take over. They grow fast!! But yeah, would have fallen where I didn't want it to. Better to take it now. It will help my Euphorbias and cactus stay warm this winter!! Thanks for watching Daz!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, to the UK 🇬🇧 and Singapore 🇸🇬 have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!! ✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🍀🌸🌳🪴🌹🌿🌾😃👍

Hey Mr. Morris can the zig zag be forced to branch out?
There is only two ways to make it a candelabra shape with many branches. Seed. Seedlings form a mainstem which branches out naturally. Zigzag also grows multiple mainstems as it gets older. A mainstem cutting will grow as a Seedling will with a whorl of branches. A branch cutting will root and grow but will not produce the whorl of branches like a Seedling or mainstem cutting. It will only branch randomly and grow taller making a nontypical plant. The mother of mine was a branch cutting that set its own seed and so I got the typical Seedling plant. Most Zigzag plants sold are unfortunately started as branch cuttings so won't branch as a typical plant. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🌸🌳🪴🌹🌿🌾😃👍
@@morrisparkintheozarks6831 thanks so much
Can you try reporting it as well.
It hasn't out grown it's pot its in and the pot has been washed in alcohol to clean it up. I believe I've got the rust taken care of. The scars will always be there, but all have turned dark now. I have sprayed it again and will do so once more to be sure but I believe I've killed the rust! And now the plant should be OK. Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🌱🌸🌳🪴🌹🌿🌾😃👍

So beautiful! I wish I can smell them, too. Those type of cactus are my frustration. I love their big flowers. But they just get cooked during our summer.
Thanks Ana!! Yes, they do smell wonderful!! As long as I have this one hanging under the tree it does pretty well. The only epiphytic cactus I can keep. It gets too hot here to for schlumbergeras, even under the trees . Thanks for watching Ana!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks , have a wonderful week ahead !!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍

Thanks for sharing your strictum flowers. Those flowers are prettier than my curly orchid cactus blooms. My plant isn’t very large and the flowers have been blooming one per night for a couple of weeks. They’re only about 2”. 😺✌️
Thanks!!! They are a bit different than most . Having many narrow petals instead of the wide petals of other species and hybrids. I think the curly Epiphyllum is a mutation. Very cool that its blooming!! Thanks for watching!!! From Morris Park in the Ozarks, have a wonderful day!!! Peace, Love, Plants!!!✌️💖🌵🌻🌷🌴💐🍀🌿🌱🌸🌳🪴🌹🌾😃👍
