Hi Lucy, thank you for watching snd im very pleased you’ve had no sound issues. If you are referring to the faux fur the n yes you could apply the interfacing first (I’d place a large piece) then you can trace the pattern piece onto the fur. Just make sure when placing the interfacing that the fur is lying as straight and square as possible (so it’s not distorted) then all should go well. I must admit I sewed my Hugh’s legs on with ordinary buttons on the outside as I like that look better but I know sewists some like to keep with the originally intended ways. Hi Ruth, welcome to my channel. This dress is a fiddly one! Daisy’s Twirling dress is easier for future reference and there is a video for that dress already. Yes, you can switch out the bias at the neckline for s facing and I show you how to do that on either this one or the T-shirt dress (or the Polka Dot Dress, I can’t remember which it is!) but it sounds as if you know how to do that already. As Luna has such a small neck it makes the collars and necklines tricky but I hope it turns out ok for you. I’m on the Costa Del Sol, between Marbella and Estapona, so you’re the other side of Málaga to me! Happy stitching 🥰

Hi Jen, I’m sorry that you’re disappointed with your Luna. Let’s try and trouble shoot this for you. The thickness of the interfacing will play a part so you can double up the layers until you get the desired stiffness. Also the line of stitches down the centre of the ears helps so don’t skip that. When you stuff the head it’s important to make sure that you stuff around the ears carefully and make sure they are equally supported by the stuffing, front and back, to stand up and that that continues as the head fills. I hope some of those help. If not, it’ll be necessary to try and determine if it’s the ears themselves that aren’t stiff enough to support themselves, or if it’s the head that isn’t supportive enough. Looking at an issue like that can help. Then you need to decide if you’re going to unpick and rectify or start again with the new techniques? Also please be kind to yourself if this is your first try at Luna, it’s the same for any project. It can take time to get to a level that we are happy with but you’ll be taking in so much learning for each try that each time something will improve until you get to a place you are happy. It’s all a journey. Has any of that helped? 🥰

Hi Jen, thank you for watching my video snd for your question. You can buy CE certified stuffing that is specifically for characters that are going to be for children. It’s available from all the usual online places I suspect. However, as I couldn’t find any of that here in Spain, plus my toys are not played with by children, so I found a local upholstery shop that sells polyester fibre-fill by weight. 10 euros buys me a big bag. It’s the same filling as you’d find inside a hollow-fibre quilt or a cushion pad. It works really well for me so I hope you have a similar shop near you. I hope that helps and happy stitching! 🥰
