We are Peter and Sarah and we started our relationship just 9 months ago.
We did however meet over 30 years ago but lost touch.
We have decided to join the UA-cam family to vlog our lives together in our 50s.
We never stop having fun and we love spending time with our ever growing family, so this will be for the children when they are all older with memories of us.
Please like and subscribe and watch us dance through middle age ❤️💙

First day back and wow the allotment has survived without me! In fact, it is looking really good, everything sown is growing, and the netting and frames that Pete built are still standing and keeping off the little critters that want to eat our crops. #allotment #gardening #christmasdinner #allotmentlife #growyourownfood #brassicas #carrots #harvest #cucumber #courgettes #potatoes #onions

Even though ypu had some damage. Your plants still look really really good. Hang in there my friends. You got this. Happy gardening 😊
Thank you, I will
Wow you guys were busy. Happy holidays. Stay safe and warm. Have a wonderful day 😊
Stay safe and warm, Ali ☔️🥶🇨🇦
You guys are working so hard in your plot today. I hope you both feel better soon. Have a blessed day 😊
Oh I’m sorry for your loss 😢. Good to have a space to just get away and rejuvenate. Have a better week, Ali 🌧️🥶🇨🇦
😂I humming and harring I do that every time I go out. Love the blue skies it’s pouring down rain here 🤦♀️, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Thank you for sharing, I am planing to go there next month in December with my family.
Wow bargain seed purchase.
Love a good seed sales 💪. Hope they all do well and yes I’m really bad at growing lettuce 🤦♀️, Ali 💨🌞☔️🇨🇦
What a wonderful deal you found. Thanks for sharing. Have blessed day
Use the tongs for a bread roll you animal
Grubby mits on the rolls you’re gonna give someone something
Review the falcon Bletsoe thanks
Looks very much like fennel to me
Awesome blue skies, we have grey 😂 and wet. Got most of my garlic in yesterday so hopefully they do better than last years mush. Have a fab day enjoy the sunshine, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦
This is my first time trying for garlic, and I use it almost daily at home so should be saving some pennies. It will one year In feb we took this plot and 1 year in March we planted our first veg in. Hope your garlic is a better crop this time around. x
Great job and tucked up for the winter 👍. Most of my beds are dormant with manure until spring. But I did grab some chard seedlings from the greenhouse and put them out. Plus garlic going in soon. Have a gardentastic week ahead, Ali 🥶☔️🇨🇦
Thank you Ali, you too
Brassicas, sprouts and leeks are fine with even deep frost.Carrots need the tops trimming and the potatoes as they won't carrying on growing once it gets cold .You can leave the carrots in the ground if fleeced and harvest as you want .You can leave the potatoes but the tops are very frost prone .Yes the paper will be great in the compost 🙂
Omgosh, thank you for the full advice. I am back up in the morning, so I will put paper in on top of horse manure. Will attempt to fleece carrots until I can get Pete up with me to rebuild/sort frames. Will also attempt to fleece the potatoes as determined to have my Christmas dinner plate full of homegrown, n
Nice update and that isn't a messy shed compared to mine, hope Sarah is feeling better.
I am feeling much better thank you, now just waiting for the rain to pass!
@@Plottogether37B 👍❤️👍
5:00 fennel?
It is dill, I do have a fennel in another bed though, which I am very excited about. Just need to find out when to harvest it :)
Oh wow we used to go to Blackpool as kids, first one to spot the tower got sixpence 😂. It looks lovely and sunny, here it’s pouring down rain and high winds until at least Monday late afternoon. If it ain’t it’s good 👍. Good to have you back, have a fab weekend, Ali ☔️☔️🇨🇦
Thanks Ali, wow a sixpence, we used to get them in the christmas pudding too, and yes we now have the backlash of the rain from the storm over floirida about to hit. Oh well will have to wait for another day to get there. x
Good morning. 😊
Good morning!
Ps if you film on a cell phone turning it lengthwise should give you a wider picture to post 👍👍
Yes did used to do this both ways as have TikTok too and that is doing really well, but now often forget to turn phone correct way and repeat is all again lol
@@Plottogether37B oh I get that too I film for instagram then remember I can’t use it on UA-cam 🤦♀️ wish they’d all get it together
Bent carrots are fine they help you see in the dark, and see around corners 👍😂😂 new subscriber enjoyed the vid 👍
😂😂 luckily wonky taste as good as “perfect” veg and once chopped you’ll never notice. Yikes frost already 😮 it is foggy in the morning here but warm sunshine after that 🤦♀️ well except today it’s supposed to rain. Pete watch your eyes with those bamboo sticks 🤓. Have a super day guys, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
Thaks Ali. Autumn is marching in here in the UK. x
Wow beautiful potato flowers 🌸. Yes we still have cabbage whites here but it’s not dropped below 12c yet even at night. I’m a,ways pleased when anything grows 😂in my garden besides weeds. Hope you had a nice time the videos were great, happy gardening, Ali 🌦️🇨🇦
That looks delicious!!😊
It was! x
Beautiful 😍
😂😂I’d be stuffing that in statue in my suitcase. Have fun, Ali 🌧️🌞🇨🇦
You are keeping that garden looking good. I have some weeds i need to pull out too. Thanks for the reminder. Your brassicas look good 😊
No need to blanch beans ,just chop and freeze 🙂
Nice to catch up with you my friend's, well worth investing in a microphone to keep you viewers watching and subscribing. Well done on getting as much bind weed out as you can, when any bits you have missed start growing they pull out easily. Remember don't advertise your not at home, put an allotment video on while your away and when your back upload your footage of your holiday if that's what you want. Remember it's Google search engine that will get your views so Remember good titles of what your doing in that video. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King.
Omgosh thank you Terry good points made, still learning so happy to take all advice for us. And yes I definitely need help with my titles. Good to hear from you and much appreciated the time you are taking to support. Have a blessed day ❤
@Plottogether37B 👍❤️❤️👍 also remember if someone does comment replying is key to the interaction, I prefer to spend hours replying than hours editing. I learn more from the comments than watching videos.
I have a self seeded (bird dropping 😂) borage by the tv room window and yes bees love it. But it’s in a pot luckily because yes it can get as big as a tree. That bindweed is horrible I have seen plots with so much on it I’d cry. 3 years from seed 2 from crowns but don’t cut the “fronds” they die back naturally and they help feed the crowns. Sprouts are looking good guys. A bottle of vodka 😂😂😂. Hey I buy plugs too it’s not cheating it’s hedging your bets. Have a super day, Ali 🌞🇨🇦
Ahh thank you my lovely. Will take all of your advice your garden is amazing. ❤
New subscriber here. You’re doing a great job, especially considering the poor weather this year. Looking forward to seeing your progress over the next few years.
Thank you so much for the sub and your encouraging words x
Sorry one more thing I think your doing amazing for your first year, there are growers out there been doing it for years and aren’t doing as well 💪💪💪💪💪
Brussel sprouts just take off dead leaves as they come, once the tops are a nice cabbage 🥬 size you can top them and the plant will put more energy into the sprouts and I’ve sown bush beans this week so keep at it.
oh wow thank you, will be doing that for the next crop we now have in x
Looks like a bird dropped sunflower 🌻 10:35
Oh sounds exciting yes a view would be fabulous thank you. Oh please keep putting up videos I’ll pop your share in mine 👍. Will someone be looking an after the plot while your on hols? Hey ho is right if you don’t try you will definitely fail so just keep at it. It’s exciting to finally harvest isn’t it. Have a fab weekend Sarah and digging Peter 😂, Ali 🌞🇨🇦 Ps I don’t grow rubber I mean runner beans 😂😂
Thank you, for such encouraging words, we will def film some Cyprus, probably food knowing us two!! Will share yours too x
Yes that would be exciting. Tape as much as you can. I look forward to the videos. Yes you both do work so hard. You garden shows it. Happy gardening 😊
Yes! Thank you!
Yes yes yes ☺️😀
It does take years to get an allotment right and years to get viewers to watch. Your titles need to be longer, remember if someone is searching for something like catterpiller damage, if that was in your title you would get an extra view. Ensure all the boxes are full in the area where you prep your video for uploading and end screens are also important to keep new viewers watching. Only 15% of my view are from subscribers the rest are as you said from youtube. I get about 750 views a day at the moment, so many new bloggers, but they never stay long. I used to get over a 1000 a day but it's dropped off now and reduced my earnings. Keep going my friend's. ♻️Happy gardening, Terry King
Thank you, what a great point about the titles, will definitely do this! I'm not good with tech so need to get Pete back on the editing job. Ah sorry your viewers have dropped, hopefully people will start subscribing to both you and me, the cost of living is ridiculous and should encourage people to grow their own. Have a blessed weekend x
@Plottogether37B I will be doing a video on how I upload and make sure my tags are updated and full to capacity hashtags are good too #startinganewallotment
Can you message me when it is up please, very helpful. Thank you x
I’m in SW Canada and last Saturday we had a huge storm ⛈️ thunder lightning and high wind. My poor husband was out in the back at midnight tying down my stuff 🤦♀️. Everything is doing well 👍, I only really have sprouts right now as I’m moving the cage in fall. So true a wee bit of wind and sun mix and weeds just go mad. Have an awesome long weekend, Ali ☔️🌞🇨🇦 Love the church bells 🔔 in the background Steve at Greenside Up used to have them ringing in his videos. Ps I’ll add to my videos Sarah

It's even windier today so not even going out! We have also said Pete is going to build a proper cage for our next lot of brussels, but we are learning and still loving it. The church bells bring peace to me, I love them. Have a great weekend. x

Wow look at ypur garden. There is food growing everywhere. Look at your onions. I am so jealous my friends. I cant get my onions to grow. But I am not giving up. Your Brussels sprouts looks great too. Way to go keep growing that food. Happy gardening
Thanks for visiting
Looking good. What did you find while digging in the soil? Can't wait to see what you plant in that bed. Happy gardening my friend 😊
This is going to be our winter/Christmas bed veg.
Have a good day. It was a pleasure to meet and connect with you.
