You can do it!
@@Deansworkshop it's the electric and soffit aspects that are the issue
I got mine last March dean great skull saw
Yer I need to do more diy projects so I can use it lol
Good stuff, I was looking for a simple unboxing and quick run of this thing to see/hear how it works. Thanks!
What are the dimensions of the holes you dug?
Fantastic videos (including your previous one on building the frame). This has really helped me out! Thank you 🙌🏼
Glad it helped!

Than you, I really appreciate it means a lot. Fingers crossed.
Hi mate, I just ordered one. Can’t wait to get it. Already have a DCS571, brilliant little saw but I wanted something to do deeper cuts. Very helpful video cheers 👍🏻
Thanks for the comment mate. I’m glad it’s been helpful
Always handy making stuff out of scrap wood as it ain't cheap, superb buddy! lol
Nice one, good game for the adults too
Nice work mate, quick question for ya, how long did it take you to get the hole dug out and then build the frame ?
I would say the frame and digging the holes took best part of two days. And 1 day to do the decking. Really enjoyed the project.
@Deansworkshop nice one for the reply mate I am going doing a composite decking project next month so will follow your tips for the framing
I love that. Thank you I was going to do composite decking and I looks so much better. I will do it next time you will have to show me dude. Any help drop me a message
@Deansworkshop So another question is I'm wanting to do as low profile as I can as the garden slopes off to the back of where I'll be decking so am I better using 4 x 2 ? I had planned on using 6 x 2 but yours seems good and sturdy. I'm going with 4m x 2.5m as my footprint so do you think I should do the same as you and have 15 posts 5 front middle and back. Sorry so many questions I don't qanna fuck it up lol
As you seen from mine 4x2 will the right support will make it sturdy and no bounce. My opinion using 6x2 will not need as many posts and should last a lifetime. I think it comes down to budget.
One problem with using wood stands and concreting them in is they do rot over time then you cant do anything apart from dig and break out concrete, an arse job as im finding out with whoever did decking in my garden. Best to concrete and then bolt in these metal fixtures where wood can be bolted in and take out easily when needs replacing.
You can unscrew and cut away the rotting post, dig a new whole to the side and slide in a new post. Replace them one at a time without affecting the frame work 😁 But with it being treated timber and him using the bitumen paint to seal the post it will be a few years before anything like that is needed 😊
@@jamessullivan3829 wouldnt making a new post on the side of an existing mess up the formation of the post, e.g. not equally distributed, get large iver hangs on the end joists.
@@mokodorali5975with the posts that attach to the cross supports he should get away with just placing them the other side of the joists. As for the outer edge and corner posts, yeah it may effect the weight distribution across the edges and create some bounce but that could be sorted by adding new posts on both sides of each original. A little extra work but with the treatment/protection and paint , by the time the posts need sorting I'm sure the top decking would need changing or repairs anyway 😁
impressive work. thanks
First comment ❤ this looks lovely. Are you classing lining the planter as part of building it? Waterproof lining on sides? Bottom?
Hiya thank you, yes I am. If you get chance watch the main video and it will show you have I lined the planter. But yeh I lined the sides and bottom and holes for water drainage.
I have just purchased this saw. How reliable is it? What are the good and bad points please?
For the price of the saw is great. I have had to upgrade the blade and align the fence etc to get a try cut. But It has never let me down. Hopefully you think the same.
@@Deansworkshop Ok I have bought a 60 tooth blade hopefully it makes a neat cut. I have to replace soffit and facia on my house and I am looking forward to using this saw to complete the task.
Watched this 2 part video. You did a really lovely job and nice explanation of each step and tips along the way. Your decking boards look really nice condition i.e straight. Where did you get them from and did I miss what size your framing is? 2 x 4? 2 x 6? Nice to see the little supervisor checking you did it all correctly. Thanks for sharing!
Aww thank you so much means a lot. Got them from a timber merchant by me called robins timber. Really good price too. I used 4x2 which I think with the right support is more than enough. No bounce. Haha yer he is a strict boss alright. He’s got me making garden toys now lol.thanks for watching
@@Deansworkshop Many tks for your quick reply and info. Keep up the good work!
Looks amazing!
Thank you, so much better use of space and the little man loves his play area.
nice job amte
Cool
Good sander. Maybe one of them power stack batteries would solve the unbalanced feel
I do have a couple of 2 amp batteries which would be the same as the power stacks. 👍🏻
@@DeansworkshopI guess the downside is you’ll change battery more often. Catch 22
Definitely, specially with how long sanding takes 😅
Did you need an adaptor ring to make the blade fit?
No mate that blade is off Amazon and fit that’s mitre saw. Here’s the link amzn.eu/d/fAonPlV
Could have made a great tree house . Willow can be a pain though .
That was the original plan but with how fast it grew it put me off.
I really like the new flower garden and I LOVE your little garden helper! I smiled that he graduated from a plastic shovel to a proper garden shovel and I especially enjoyed that you allowed him to help.
Thank you. He absolutely loves being outdoors and I would like to say he is my helper but he is more the boss haha. He definitely gets his own way. Next year I would like to learn and teach him growing veg.
Looks so nice!
Thank you.
Looks great!
Thank you.
Happy to see another fischer fan!
Highly recommend them. Great for all type of fixing types
dust masks and eye protection optional
Mate it’s lot better I thought. Well worth the investment.
Iv had the same erbauer sander for years the vibration is horrible after 5 minutes of sanding, I was looking at getting the dewalt cordless is the vibration better than the erbauer?
But why?
Must be brand new.. my laser lasted about a week
Haha, It’s about 2 years old but don’t usually use the laser. I had just recalibrated it because it was way off
From 24 to 80 “oooh that feels gooowd” Edit: that saw takes to long to stop on its electric brake
Looks great!
