Smpl Design Studio has evolved into an ultra-efficient team of 20+ individuals who share a massive enthusiasm for designing gnarly homes that reflect the distinct and refined vision of our clients throughout North America and the Caribbean.
The team consists of architectural and interior designers, planning, permit and conservation specialists and a structural engineer - all under one roof in our office located in downtown Hamilton, Ontario. Something feels off about this property-it's like they used cheap materials in the construction to make it look more expensive than it actually is.
Sorry you feel this way... all the millwork is custom from Italy, tile from Italy as well, all details hand picked to come together holistically for an amazing home for the family

Big range, with tons of variables... but our projects start at 500$ and go up to 1,000$ per sq ft

I used to run on the escarpment and always stopped to see this house. Beautiful architecture. Question: Is it a suspended concrete slab floor in the kitchen? Is there a basement area directly under it? I haven't seen those in residential projects in Canada. Usually ground floors are all wooden underlayment.
So this is a 3 inch thick poured concrete Slab on wood frame construction... we do this detail a fair bit in canada now !!

Those were all retained from the projects excavation and reused in the landscape design Instead of shipping them off site

Beautiful house in a beautiful setting. The cheese ball self-promotion of the narrator is rather off putting, however, and entirely unnecessary given the quality of the design and construction. My personal opinion anyway.
