Moved here in May …it is exquisite… and the ppl here are amazing. We live in NE Cape …supposably not the most desirable area because it’s more remote. But we haven’t seen a part of Cape Coral that we don’t love. My husband and I came here to live out the rest of my time …and we adore it here. Have been married 42 years and have fallen in love all over again. So if you get a chance to experience the beauty of Cape Coral …you will love it 😊

My husband and I went early 2020. It was so wonderful. We live in Michigan full time and had only been to FL one other time. In Miami. Really had a beautiful time.

I'd recommend living in N.Fort Myers or Fort Myers. Cape is so expensive and have Ridiculous rules/laws popping each year. you get fined if your grass is slightly longer then they want, super dumb. the cops now are super young dicks that think they got something to prove so they pull you over for the dumbest crap and I promise you youll get a ticket every time. just 2 months ago they tried arresting me for a DUI yet I was 100% sober, passed all their tests and blew a .000 BAC. then since they got mad they couldnt arrest or ticket me the cop calls her suppervisor and pretty much begged to let her arrest me... so then she tells me i have 2 options, go to the hospital for testing of drugs and alcohol or arrested for DUI. so obviously I chose hospital. then they made me take an ambulance which cost 600 bucks and had my car towed since they wouldnt allow me to have my dad pick it up when he was only 5 minutes away so the tow was 180 bucks and storage was 85 since they were closed and had to wait till morning to get it. so I get to the hospital and what do you know? .000 BAC and negative for all drugs. now ya'll thought she was mad before? now she was PISSED. i get outside she takes my phone, keys and wallet refusing to give them back now that im cleared to leave. She then tries to make me do ANOTHER field sobriety tes when she was in the room with the doctor and I when i got the results proving i was 100% sober. she let that go on for 20 mins then with all my stuff gets in her cruiser and tells me shes taking it for "evidence" and ill have to wait till morning after its been registered and processed into the system. ABSOLUTE bull shit. So i walked 6 miles home since no phone to call for a ride or get an uber. Next day i go to the P.D to get my stuff and file a complaint, i was pretty much told by the supervisor to taje my stuff and leave since i supposedly lied and cheated the tests at the hospital. i asked for th highest ranked person in the building and they refused and said i had 30 seconds to leave or ill be arrested for loitering and harassment . ever since then she has pulled me over 4x and rips my car apart looking for drugs that i dont do and would never be in the car, then she slaps me with some BS ticket and leaves. i highly suggest people stay far away from that corrupt shit hole.

we vacation in fort myers beach every year for a month.We drive down from central ny.We are planning to buy a house in cape coral in a few years .We love it there
