Most airline pilots (emphasis on the AIRLINE part) in the US start around $100k and it only goes up from there. Granted, a few years ago starting salary was awful (as low as $25k, which is why I put it off) but mid career salary is easily quarter million and end career salaries can top half a million depending on the airline, equipment, and how you're willing to structure your schedule.
