I don't know what a Sutefoto is, but it sounds like a constant light. I also assume you are talking about the AD600 modeling lamp and not the flash. This might be a dumb question, but are you projecting in the dark or with the lights on, or worse during the day. You don't want to compete with ambient light when using such a low power light source. Also, this works when you're taking properly metered flash photos, right? If not, then I'd seriously worry.

With the default lens (the "pro" version allows interchangeable lenses) I'd say it *might* manage for small product photography in a tiny space, but you'd probably have to push it up against a wall.

I've heard good things about the Godox SA-17, but as you say, it's made for LED and not strobes. Depending on how much light you need, maybe you could mount a camera flash in it using a bowens bracket? It has a flat face like and LED unity, so it might work.

@@vampiredirt I thought mine was missing too. The cap was glued with the support of the jellies: to extract it, I advise you to use a razor blade or cutter to lift it from under and remove it from the cap

I suspect the filter ring was discontinued? You don't see them anymore in the sales photos, in fact, they go out of their way to show it with the gobo insert. I bought a second one and it doesn't have it either. Too bad, it looked convenient.@@charisphotography258

You can remove the lens on the PRO version. The standard (old version) in this review has a fixed lens. The PRO version also has an optional mount for Canon and Nikon lenses.

​@@sjoerdknol Ambitful doesn't provide much info, but my guess is that it's the same lens is on both versions. The included lens is great for product shots or highlighting hair or tattoos on a model, etc. I have no idea how it performs with Canon or Nikon lenses, but if you own any, you could probably stick it in front of a flash and take a photo of the wall to get an idea of what kind of projection you'd get.

@@nickzimmermann5323 OH, I see. I haven't tried it myself as I do not use Source. I just know the Blender Source add-on exists. If you try to convert the OBJ to SFM using it, let us know if it works.

@@nickzimmermann5323 There is a learning curve, but it's worth it if you do any 3D work, even if just to convert or do minor alterations to models... and it's free. You can get it on Steam or the Blender website. It doesn't take up much space on my HD, which is nice. You can get the add-on for Source here: developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki/Blender_Source_Tools

I don't use Adobe Fuse, but I recall you had to export the model and textures separately and choose the save location. Sorry I can't be of more help.

Sometimes, right clicking and choosing Run As Administrator can help with Adobe issues. Try it and let us know if it helps.

I'm glad you find it useful. I have very mixed feelings about Adobe Fuse, but I do understand why so many people still rely on it. It's truly a shame Adobe didn't put a small team in to developing it further.

I made this video last year, but if I recall I went to File menu and Export. Make a folder (because the save has a LOT of associated files) Save it as an OBJ. Don't change any default settings. Then ZIP up everything it exported in to the folder. On the Mixamo site, there should be an option to upload the ZIP. Again, this is all a vague recollection. I don't use this software myself.

​@@KellzKelechi There are other free options, all of which have a learning curve. Fuse is by far the easiest to use in my opinion. For cartoonish or semi-realistic cartoon, you can't beat VRoid. However, you'll need some 2D skills to draw textures. Although there is a huge market to buy things like eyes and clothes for free or a few bucks. By default it's anime style, but you can make semi-realistic characters with some effort. For more realistic characters, I really like MakeHuman or MB-Lab, though you'll need to learn how to design and make clothes for them yourself. I gave up using them because I couldn't make clothes easily. My 3D Blender skills aren't very good.

However, I have grown my hair out, and would like to create a character with realistic african american hair textures. what program would you recommend that's as easy to use as fuse? or somewhat easy and has the capability of being exported to mixamo for animation?

@@KellzKelechiIf you want "realistic" and easy you need to spend money. This is especially true if you want to use it for commercial purposes. There's a reason everyone still wants to use Fuse. If you don't mind spends a thousand or more, then Reallusion Character Creator is an option or even Daz3D.

I don't know of any other official / legal download sites for Adobe software.

How could you download InDesign 2015?

@@raphi9993 I believe I googled for the 2015 version combined with the name of the site and was able to find it. I'm not 100% sure that's what I did but I remember I had the same issue and was able to overcome it.

I know what you mean. I love the new layering feature, but the user interface is awful and messy. I didn't notice the line color as I don't use it, but I understand your frustration. You'd think that would be an easy fix.

Yes, I agree. I chose not to use Fuse CC, but I understand everyone's frustration. Many other companies offer older Windows applications without support. I understand it doesn't work with MacOS anymore, but offering the older Windows version would generate a lot of goodwill.

I don't understand what you're asking. Mixamo Fuse is installed through Steam.

Are you going to the Instagram site first? You need to go in to mobile mode BEFORE you visit the instagram website or the camera icon won't show up.

@@Smoinky Oh I see. I always right click on the .7z file, which opens a context menu. It should say something like 7-zip Extract to Directory.

You can still create characters with the software. If there were features that required the internet (server-side / cloud), then those are shut down, of course. I'm new to it, so I don't know what it was like to use before and after Adobe abandoned it.

Both are essentially the same program. Adobe Fuse CC adds some features over Mixamo Fuse. Try both. You don't have to pay - both are free.

Yes! This is the official release by Adobe. Adobe Fuse CC was a free software. They made it difficult for users to acquire and run it because they don't want to support it anymore.

Try to right click on 'download' and choose "Save Link As"? Try a different browser? Do you have any browser security extensions on that might interfere? Try turning it off. These are general guesses... it's hard to know exactly why it isn't working for you. Do you own a smart phone? If you have 4GB or more free, try downloading it that way. Worst case scenario, try using a friend's computer. If you don't have any friends, try a university, internet cafe, library.

To be clear, I'm hardly an expert - I haven't used Fuse after testing it in this video. It's my understanding that Mixamo Fuse doesn't export blendshapes natively. They were added after sending it to the Mixamo website for auto-rigging. While Adobe still has has the Mixamo site for rigging and animation, that level of integration with Fuse characters isn't available anymore. I think Adobe moved that feature to the Adobe Cloud, which rigged and added blendshapes and the ability to edit Fuse characters in Photoshop, but that feature is gone too. Again, this is just what I learned from my investigation of Fuse. I'm not a long time user, so if anybody reading this has first hand experience on how to get blendshapes exported from Fuse in 2021, do let us know.
