    don't worry about the candy, being a confectioner is hard as hell and it would be very silly to expect you to become a pro just to make carrot lollipops from a farming sim

    Great video! Just a bit of constructive critique, if you are scraping stuff off a cutting board into a pot/container, use the back of the blade (opposite the sharp bit) to prevent dulling your knife prematurely.

    Do you 1) only wear yellow sweaters? 2) made all these recipes in the same few days? 3) put on this sweater before cooking every time? Its a lovely color, I just got curious xD

      The cook button was pretty simple to Photoshop as all the letters were available on the original buttons (and there was a "Coop" button already). Way simpler than reworking "Valley" into "Kitchen" haha

    the amount liquids used to soak cake depends on when you are going to eat it. lets say if you plan to eat it right away you ofc need lots of liquid and if you plan to maybe eat it in 1-2 days you need very litte liquid.

    No one's going to top your stardew cooking videos. You actually try to make the recipes good, and you did it without the cookbook. Other people that make the recipes from stardew, take the game recipes literally, like duh it won't be good, it's a simplified video game recipe. You put so much effort into making the recipes editable and delicious

    its always baffling to me when people remove good vegetables from their soups. the lobester bisque at the end gave me exactly that feeling. I think if you just remove the lobster parts before adding the veg, you could simply leave it in there and blend it into the soup at the end. feeling sorry for the farmer that made those good veg just to get thrown into the bin after extracting some flavor.

    • @uselessgamestuff
      @uselessgamestuff 29 днів тому

      While I generally agree with you, I would say it depends. In this specific case I did eat the vegetables separately because they were indeed still good (and got some flavours added by the lobster and other stuff). However for a longer (3h+) stew, usually the veggies end up losing all flavour and all nutrients.You can still eat them of course but they don't bring much more. All in all I'm on your side and try to avoid such recipes that require throwing away stuff because it does seem like a waste

    • @MegaMacX
      @MegaMacX 29 днів тому

      @@uselessgamestuff thats nice to hear. I am aware that vegetables lose a lot of stuff to the heat, especially vitamins. But at least i was taught that stuff like lycopin, beta carotin, iron and other minerals cant really get cooked out of the veg or is even enhanced through blending. Since it also stretches the dish and thickens the consistency i leave most of the stuff in my soups. I dont need a crystal clear soup if i have to throw away good stuff for that :D Oh, right, almost forgot: good vid, cant wait for winter and the new moss soup ^^

    With the miner's treat having milk in it, wouldnt a cake pop be more accurate? A carrot cake with some colorful frosting, would make it look like the picture, while also using all the ingredients :)

    • @uselessgamestuff
      @uselessgamestuff Місяць тому

      tbh I think the carrot is here just because you can find ("cave") carrots in the mines, making them topical as well as enabling the player to craft the dish on the spot when needed
