watching him reminds me of how awesome we can be as humans....bless you, Peter Murphy.....peace is coming.....and you will have left the human race better off than before......
Really dug this show. I've been watching/listening to this performance for months. Learned to play I Spit Roses, Seesaw Sway and Uneven and Brittle on acoustic. Edit out the titties part and it's a smooth ride.
I might as well tell this story, & maybe others did the same? The first time I ever saw Peter Murphy or knew anything about him was seeing the 1983 vampire film "The Hunger" with Catherine Deneuve & David Bowie & Susan Sarandon, which has some beautiful scenes, especially the historical flashbacks; BUT the BEST part is the beginning, at a club where his band is playing (whether they are supposed to be Bauhaus or not IDK?) ~~~ & I went to every showing for two weeks, JUST to see HIM!!! Luckily, I took that semester off! LOVED him ever since!
Disappointed they didn't play their major radio hit, and the song that got me interested in Peter's music enough to buy the CD back in 80's. I always wondered how they would be able to perform that bass violin thing live in concert, since it is so delicate and perfect. It would be easy to mess that up live. Oh well, at least he played Strange Kind of Love, which is one of those songs that should have been a major hit but wasn't, and instead had become one of his secret jewels awaiting music lovers to discover with headphones on.
I admit I've come to Peter Murphy a bit late. I always liked Bela Lugosi and Parties and then thought A Strange Kind Of Love was such a beautiful song. Then I kind of lost him. Recently I came across him again and my god he's done some fantastic stuff over the years, hasn't he? And his voice is still incredible - strong, with so much feeling. He really "gives". I would LOVE to see him live as the videos I've watched of him performing live are truly spectacular. Every rendition I've seen of Uneven and Brittle makes me well up. I'm doing my best to "catch up" at the moment and I'm sure many of his songs will become firm favourites for me. Thank you Mr Murphy for continuing to share your prodigious talent with the rest of us. Love from the U.K.
His voice is unreal. The first time I saw him live, long time ago, I was enchanted by his voice. Amazing doesn't even begin to describe how I felt. One of the best artist/singer alive.

Mark Gemini Thwate is such a tasteful player! Plus, he just looks cool playing.

This is at Amoeba, daytime, quick soundcheck. The reals.
The vocals melt me. I just could’ve done without the “I’m old, I’ve got titties” segment.
Just my all time favorite for ever. Seen him in concert 3 times in SF
...playback,,,

His voice brings me to tears.
Peter Murphy = Art.
what he did with strange kind of love, bela lugusi is evolution of a real artist
And he adapted Bela to use the same three chords for both! Am/C/Em works for both songs it turns out.

Peter the one..!!!
I would love 😍 to see him in person. Is he as tall as his voice...
If any singer and band should be in the rock and hall of fame, it's Bauhaus Side note: Adam and the Ants also

I agree what you mean. To me it seemed the place and Peter's vibe a bit too intimate for that song.
I get goosebumps everytime he performs. I love him!

He makes it look so easy. Maybe he is a god...
These people watching here really knew the depth or probably will never. His is and forever will be genius..
Pete, Great Frontman

it's a mix of Bowie and Jeff Tate (queensryche), love it
THANKS TO SHARE...
At the 20.32 mark is what my little granddaughter of 3 years old calls "The Murphy Bird" and she does it good.....We love you Peter !!!
Uneven & Brittle. Fuckin Mega🖤
Офигенно!!!
I love him ...
Great performance - would say the twats in the audience need to loosen up, I would have gone berserk to be that close!
Good band. I'd say Peter Murphy sounds the same as he did in the 1880s or 1980s but that's Obvious as the only signed 🦇 vampire in the music industry
Fuck Peter my teenage vampire crush. I'm fifty now. You still make me dream about another world. Wonderful Man 😙❤️🥰
