I'm a little late here, having just discovered these videos, but ... how about Clearwater Bay/ Rush Bay, Echo Bay ? I now live far from the Lake, so would love to see that area I was lucky to explore in my youth.

the burning question is NOT ...'how did Nestor falls get it's name'...It is...when will the names that the indigineous people be returned? Obviously that would be a symbolic gesture...as much of the old forests were cut down and turned to profit long ago

why doesnt baudette have a military base on the USA border any more? There was alot of men from baudette in the air force and the area. It is a very important part of our country, right in the middle

I was stationed there in 1970. I was a radar operator. The base was a NORAD radar station and also a BNCC. Back up NORAD Control Center, 23rd NORAD REGION. I spent some time fishing and hunting the area. I live near Grand Rapids, MN. 140 miles south of Baudette. The base was closed due to the threat of ICBMs. 692nd Radar Squadron, SAGE, Air Defense Command. Very cold and long winters.

Thank you, the feel of these two documentaries had a timeless old school feel not often replicated by todays productions. It really took me back. Kind of a cross between a vintage national geographic, Dick Proenneke documentary, and an early Warren miller film, if that makes sense to anybody. It's pretty down here in Wisconsin, but nothing like what LOW looks like. Definitely on my short list of places to be.

Good production but you continue to refer to the pictographs around the lake as petroglyphs!! They are not petroglyphs!!!!! Petroglyphs are carved in the stone!!! Pictographs are painted on with red ochre

What an amazing video. Best documentaries on lake of the woods. This part two was just as good as part one. Never a dull moment and very informative. O noticed at the beginning of this one of the untimely death of Greg Lowe. My heart weeps. Such amazing talent. You could see he must have been an amazing person to be around.

Just watched part one. Looking forward to this. The first one was the best documentary I've ever seen of lake of the woods. Better then national geographic. It's that good. You and your crew that put these videos together could become rich if you get back into making them. This is the time. Everyone looking for good content to watch.

I own property in Oregon. Well still paying it off. Few years left for that. But that fort replica, I wanted to do a fence around my property using trees just like how that fort was. Trees all around me so it would only take manpower to do it.

Wow this was a great video. You should get back into making these videos. Ever since the covid hit allot of channels like this has been getting allot of subscribers and people actually make allot of money threw UA-cam. Give it a try. Be consistent on the uploads for a few months. You will see what I'm talking about is true. Thanks for making such great content like this video.

It's an amazing waterway, but very intimidating with the obstacles and its magnitude. Wouldn't want my motor to break down, let alone getting lost. Could be a dangerous situation. I wonder how many people actually got lost and thus had a very frightening experience.
