Very cool. I have 4 string fretted CBG & looking for a double neck electric with a hardtail bridge. Not sure on the pick ups, maybe a humbucker on one neck & coil on the other. I'd have them tuned in 2 different keys. Anyway...I'm rooting around on the internet looking for a builder with a quality product at a fair price. Thanks in advance, Dan.

You used a 1x2 for the neck. Was but just a cheap Home Depot 1x2 or some kind if better wood or? Obviously you have to find a very straight one.

Nice! Didn't realize until the that it was going to be a diatonic scale. But, this would work just as well with a chromatic scale.

It's in a Violin/Mandolin Tuning but an Octave Down. It gives the instrument a much deeper & mellower sound that's appropriate for playing jazz.

@O'Ryan Entertainment Ok, so what is the difference between a strumstick and a 3-string cigar-box guitar, other than the frets? (and the obvious difference of the cigar box, although this one has a CB too). Is it tuned an octave lower or something? Thicker strings? Both?

Seldom seen anyone so enthusiastic and positive as yourself. You have a lot of good cheer in your soul. I live in Runcorn England and am in the process of building a cigar box guitar. It's my first, so always looking for hints and tips on UA-cam. It's a proper thru body style, so a bit more difficult to build than the one you've shown here. But next time I think I'll build one of these, just to see the contrasts between the two. So thank you for the entertainment, keep up the good vibes. Peace bro.

I've got no knowledge of what makes a stringed instrument truly "great"... That being said, I find myself drawn to everything thats not mainstream. Cigar-box and oil-can stuff caught my eye in paricular. And now, knowing that there are well made bass versions... I'm seriously thinking about getting my first bass guitar! Obviously not a custom made one. But the name, Lucky Pick Guitars will be something I shall remember till I get my basics down! Thanks for making some amazing instruments. 👏 👍
