Feb 10 Swarm Prevention

opened up a colony and found a lot of Brood and a good many queen cells just in time to intervein, make some splits and hopefully prevent this massive population from swarming. Forgive the abrupt ending. wearing bee gloves and filming one handed does not work well. Heck I went on to talk another 3 minutes and never new. Jace and Kayleigh ! I missed you this weekend. New Bee Hive First Inspection and relocation
Good morning, beekeeping is so much more work them most people think. Thanks for sharing your time with us, Blessed Days...
It is a lot of work, but I love it. Right now it is Hot but I Love it. THe Honey harvest is paying off as well. Looks like a good year. Most folks that purchase a Jar of Honey really don't understand how much is involved is filling that Bottle. Last weekend I worked from 10 p to 5 am extracting honey. A one man show. 4 1/2 buckets . I hope you do well this year. Thank you for watching. I'm trying to get used to making videos. I just don't slways have the time.
Thank you sir
Nice bees.
Bad Boy Zero Turn Lawn Mower
I love that sound, thanks for sharing.😁
Thats my work shed. I always have Bees flying around there. All day Sunday they worked the shed. Light rain most of the day but most of my colonies were flying
He's doing a good job for his first time mowing 👍
A damn good job.
Chores are good for kids.👍Plus he probably is having a blast.😁
He Loves Tractors and working with tools
'Promo SM'
Wow...must have been awesome to capture that.
I miss that😮💨a while longer yet more my area. Thanks for sharing.😁
it has been tricky here. February felt like late spring early summer and then march came and backed the temps back down just in time to pull queen cell grafts, so between some cold nights and working late the afternoon I needed to be home I lost 9 of 10 cells I grafted. But I cant complain with all the swarm cells I have harvested. Hope you have warm weather soon
@@southeasthomestead6093 Everything is just getting started so, it'll all work out.👍
Nice looking new girl there.😁
looking good, I like inspecting nucs , so much calmer that big hives lol
Some of my big colonies are very calm and others not so much. I hate runny Bees. I am guessing that would be a queen gene Issue, Not a fan of spicey Bees either. They are all over your hands while you are trying to work and they follow you all over the yard. Thank you for watching, I enjoy you videos , I need to post more But I get busy and don't have time to film, something I need to work on
Good day Southeast, nice looking nuc & queen. I don't like to tell people what to do unless they ask. how ever, if you gave them some 1 t0 1 sugar syrup to the bees the may build out some foundation. Not cordializing, just trying to help. Keep the videos coming👍
Looking good, getting ready for spring and to GROW👍
Good morning Southeast, Good looking nuc, the bees don't care what the box looks like. Have a great day.🙂
Thank you sir, you as well, Maple is Popping here and the Bees were really at it, but they are calling for rain all next week. Looking forward to a another Bee season
They look like happy bees.😁
Thank You, They will be Much happier when the weather gets off this roller coaster. Most of these nucs were late August splits and they made it through the hard Freeze . So I am Happy so far
That's one of my favorite things to do.
That's kinda cool.
Nucs work so well for growing bees.
Good morning , Looks like you have some good hives to start the year . Kaleigh is a up and coming bee keeper.. Thanks for showing .
She is all about papa's Bees and Papa is all about Her

bees look happy
Unfortunately I lost this hive 3 weeks ago. The hive never bounced back to pre-treatment levels. I went from 2 Brood boxes to one and was dropping down to a NUC when my other hive started a robbing spee and with a week of work and rain all was lost. My 2nd Hive is a horizontal hive and they are doing well. I plan on increasing the Bee yard this spring. Stay tuned I have some video to edit and post. Work has been very busy so I am running behind. Thank You for watching.
