Tips and tricks with Carl Bissonette! Checking in with Cesar’s progress!
In this video we are just doing a little check in with Cesar’s progress. He is starting to hold his turn arounds better, stopping better, and is starting to pick up the concept of a neck rein. I switched him from the d ring snaffle to the two rein bosal. Hope you enjoy!

This is the next stage to starting this horse! We will tie his head around and start getting him to come around in a circle at a walk and trot. This is a great way to teach them how to give to pressure and to start seeing what their natural foot pattern is. Hope you enjoy!

This horse is a four year old gelding that is well papered. He has been started previously but had all winter off. This horse was born in 2012. He is a a bay gelding that is big and thick! He is just under 16 hands. The previous owner ranch on him on the Spanish ranch. He has done everything on him from roping, working pens, branding, and riding the big circles. He is for sale, mid teens is where he is priced and he is worth every penny of it! This is my approach to teaching scary things! Introduce it at the end. Have confidence that you can introduce it! Give the feet a place to move and reward them with the scary object! @@adrabrown Yes, he is a little stuck still bucking with the saddle at the start but we will keep working him until that goes away! Once that goes away he will be getting close to ride!
Since I have such high hopes for this guy I'll be optimistic and say he takes it like a gentleman.
I was a bit surprised when I saddled him he was totally willing to walk off!
Not quite a complete gentleman but close!! Very happy with his progress.
