Hyper Japan Q and A with Misako Aoki
Hyper Japan Q and A with Misako Aoki
I filmed the Q and A with The Japanese Ambassador of Cute; Misako Aoki, The Editorial Supervisor of KERA; Naoki Matsumura, and a UK Lolita representative.
Sorry about the shaky camera. I didn't have a tripod. I just had my camera at the event and didn't even plan on filming this until I got there!
Also this was my first time using apples software, Motion 4!
more info about the event can be seen here:

Lolita fashion; a short documentary
Переглядів 42 тис.15 років тому
This was made for my Film studies course at college. I was supposed to make a 5 minute documentary on any subject of my choice. So I chose to make a short documentary on Lolita fashion. This is just a fun little video about British lolita's. The comments are only allowed by my approval. Please do not post your comment more than once. I will receive it and I will decide if It's suitable for the ...

I love your outfit!
I'm a lone lolita too. Recently, I lent my friend a dress to wear and get comfy in. I can only hope for her to like it enough to wear lolita a lot. XD As far as having loli friends is concerned, there are lots of online groups and communities out these the most popular being EGL on livejournal. Having online loli friends is great too ^_^
Wow! I wish my chinatown was like that O_O
Wow, I feel so old -.- :p
there all so cute >.< damn it! I can't handle this type of adorableness x__X
bubble teaa! <3
weren't you guys cold?
@Kerrychanx Try going to EGL on Livejournal and clicking the "Other Lolita Communities" link in the sidebar. Find the area-specific community nearest you, and introduce yourself! :)
@phoobear331 china town
@SapphireToemoe Congrats on getting into Lolita! But, just as a little tidbit of info, it's not really a "new" fad. Lolita's been around for quite some time.
there is only one lolita person where I live and that is me. All of my friends would think its too girly to do this stuff... but I absolutely LOVE it, its amazing and different and thats what I like :)
yay!!i'm not the only lolita in the u.k!! i don't have any other lolita friends:( i'm all by myself.....
yay!! british lolita's!:D im british, and a lolita, i did'nt think that many people or anyone knew about this fashion in britain ! Yay im not the only lolita in england:D
Nicely done, Its true the downside is the price of Lolita :/
@HadaObscuraENID Thanks for the lovely comment. I made all the music in the video ^_^
My sister and I have wanted to join into this trend for years now, my fascination started when I was 16 and I am 22 now and I finally bought my first dress recently as did she. We are very excited to finally have the bravery to take our first steps into this new fad.
Great job on this video
Must be nice to afford all kinds of nice and pretty dresses when you're in your teens. :O
Thank you so much for making and sharing this insightful documentary. It's really quite inspiring.
@Kerrychanx Don't feel sad. There is a whole community online of them. Introduce your friends to lolita, maybe some of them will like it and join you?
Agnes has such an adorable jsk!! :D Do you happen to know if she made that herself? It's absolutely adorable!
@BlueNeko1 I wasn't getting upset. I was just making a point. The way 'real' as capitalised, made your sentence sound like only the Japanese Lolitas are the real lolis. If you want to see Japanese Lolitas there is Nico Douga which is like youtube of Japan. If you click around and spend enough time on there you can find girls who post videos. Misako aoki does regular shows on there too. Of course all in Japanese though. I loved the Canadian lolita documentary. There is a massive scene out there
@BlueNeko1 Just because we are British and dress in Lolita it doesn't make us any less authentic than the "REAL Lolli's" Japan. There is no "pure" Lolita. As long as you love the fashion and it makes you happy, in my books that makes you a real lolita. Just sayin'
@BlueNeko1 You want to pay for me to go there? I'll gladly go and interview them.
Yay! Happy House!!!
@NurseryRhyme123 BTSSB and Angelic Pretty both ship abroad now. You can also go to EGL_sales on Livejournal and buy a lot of good second hand clothing.
@MsKoik Well, it's about the aestheic beauty of lolita. You come up with your own meaning.
your dress is cute and all, but... What's the point of the video?
really lovely editing, it was so nice to watch * A *
they're so cuute:D when did u make this?
@Carmello1andonly It does take courage to wear lolita. I started wearing lolita in high school. It was scary at first and I felt silly. But I grew more confident and now I wear it daily to university. Confidence sometimes comes with experience. Start wearing it casually and you'll be surprised how many people will like it. Lolita is a fashion to make YOU happy. Not others. Forget them and remember how good you feel when you wear it! Good luck!
@CandyInfluence I love how u guys are walking around in london in lolita! If i did it here in america at my school, NONE would be wearing it and be made fun of if they tried ( Well people who love lolita like me) SO ur guys are lukcy and dont for get that lol ^_^
The shop looks so cool, where is it? :D. Is in the china town supermarket?.. So you live basically in central london then? It's great you have so many lolita friends, my friends are really against it.. You should also have a look at this website: myasianfashion(DOT)com - many sweet and gothic lolitas use it, as well as decora, gyaru etc etc..
How cute :) is this you?
@lilxxrei China town in London
british accents <3 watching this made me really happy! c:
@HelloCuteKitty15 Actually Lolita is inspired from the Rococo period. Watch Kamikaze Girls.
hi. i knew you on the nicovideo program for Hyper Japan, you took interview, and wanted to post the comment. you really cute!
@lillybellebutterfly1 Trust me.... not always....
They are certainly cuter than men who dress as women. They are really ugly, on my opinion.
its himegyaru thats inspired by rococo not lolita. lolitas are inspired by the little victorian girls
I love lolita , it give women/girls to be feminine, it not sexy but kawaii(cute) like on youtube "dance dance lolita"
im starting to be very interested in lolita fashion but I live in the US and have no idea where to buy can anyone help me?
That Hime Lolita girl has soooo many manga on her bookshelf! ;A; /jealous
omg i love it!!!! i've been getting alot in to the lolita fashon for awile now,but still looking for clothes tht dont cost alot. i love your video,you should make another longer one :D<<<<33333
isn't the girl with the massive bow and dinky tiara ( talking at 1:37 ) - isn't she a HIme girl?
@aboodabi101 I don't know the name. But I have described how to get there to another user in this comments section. I said "t is tucked away at the end of china town. You need to go past the pagoda at the end of the high street and down a small ally way an into the small shopping bit on the right."
@CandyInfluence What's the shop called please? Thank you ^_^
this video is very well done! I love all of your descriptions of the styles, it's so perfect ^^
