I’ve seen several people claiming blue cap oven cleaner doesn’t contain lye but the label clearly says sodium hydroxide. I have a heavily blackened Wagnerware pan that I’m trying to clean with not much progress. I may have to resort to using it.

Where are they manufactured? If they are manufactured in Norway, this would be a big fluke. Food safety regulations in Europe, and especially Scandinavian countries are pretty tight.
