Also prismacolor or colored pencils by Amazon’s actual brand (Amazon Basics) are softer than crayola pencils and might lay down color better. Amazon basics is more affordable and they are actually on sale right now for only 3.99
For the colored pencil set, use a glossy top coat, file the glossy top, then buff the top. The colored pencil goes on way better.
