Trading Deni was kinda counterintuitive for a team in a rebuild but unless he has an all-star type breakout season, we traded him at his highest value. He was honestly our best player but we somehow got a better return than the hawks did for Dejounte. Honestly not too mad. I have a lot of belief in Bub

Meanwhile the hawks are stuck in play-in territory and won’t even give Sarr the role he wants at the 4. Idk why him wanting to be a wizard surprises anybody. Ik they got a bad history but still😭

I know nba history well...cody williams has the best chance to become a true impact player on a title team in this draft one day like psuedo 2nd option 2b. on most teams and maybe next to a luka type mvp guy a 2nd main scorer or great 3rd option next to 2 all star scorers...everyone else just doesn't scream top pick star potential to me....cody has a young kawhi body type circa late 2010 and jaylen brown circa early 2016 type scoring potential already and could be his nba comp one day soon....he can score the ball efficiently without hogging it which is key next to other great ball dominant guys..he won't be a true iso scorer or great passer handler shooter but he can become a elite defender and score 18 a night for a dozen years in just 2 years and hit some off ball threes at 39% ....i just know what he can be one day...he might never be the rebounder you want for a mainly pf like more than 5.5 a night cause he floats near the perimeter but still...that would be my main concern drafting him 1st to build my team around...that and his lack of playmaking iso shooting and handling....he would fit well with the hawks and in houston next to wemby and obviously the perfect fit for him right now and later too is memphis...portland needs him..detroit could take him charlotte would be dumb to pass on him but the pistons and hornets would ruin his growth and he would have to leave to become who he could be imo...portland could develop him but they don't have playing time for him it seems with their big contracts and young guards getting minutes so he would become a 6th man there...wizards would never get better with him...

Might it not be better just to address some other areas of need and wait to draft a point guard in 2025? Stephon Castle will likely be drafted by the Spurs, but at #4, not #8.

I like Reed at #3. He will become great under FVV and Udoka.
