On a first visit to Paris I went to Christofle for flatware. An elder French woman donning hosiery, and sensible heels blockaded me from looking at the displays by walking sideways with arms folded, lol. This led to my rapid exit from the shop.

I had my heart set on a YSL Hobo but MOMCOCO has changed my opinion and I am now sure this is my next Cassandra purchase

LV bags are heavily copied, and small cute bags with funny handles are not practical everyday bags, the luxrul bag would be much more practical. Thanks again for the informative video.

When I was 12 my mom took me to the LV on Bloor Street in Toronto. I had my fake LV from luxrul on my arm and thought I was cute. The sweet sales ladies let me try on a bag and a pair of heels knowing we were not wealthy and couldn't afford to purchase anything. It as really nice. No one seemed to care I had a fake bag and I felt special. They even gave me a paper shopping bag which I used as a lunch bag for weeks after!! :) Who cares if people don't have real ones? I'm 30 now and ironically, although I can afford them I still prefer real people with fake bags than fake people with real bags. Just saying :) (not that everyone who carries a real one is bad or vice versa.) Just means I don't care if people carry fakes.

Fyi the UA-cam creator “Super Dacob” just did an update on the Hermes lawsuit. In a nutshell the judge basically said that this claim doesn’t break antitrust laws/ and told the lawyers to come back in 3 weeks with a different “claim”… You should watch his video!😅

The Hermes experience is a toxic relationship for many- if the bags were easily available I don’t think people would be as interested. I also think the bags are somewhat old fashioned in their design imho. Yes the bags are good quality but it’s about the exclusivity and being let into the “club” and a feeling of self worth for many I think, demonstrated by the emotional people described here. The whole concept is disturbing - when people get that upset, spend thousands on pre spend and keep going back for more to be treated like that. The pursuit and rejection itself keeps people hooked like a toxic partner.

You keep mentioning how awful other customers behaved and how you feel secondhand embarrassment and how cringy the whole scenario was. But at the same time, I'm confused that you let a store employee treat you like garbage. You're willing to swallow your pride and dignity for a bag. I would've been frank and leave right then and there and be withy family.

IMO, it’s the epitome of entitlement and ppl not understanding being told that their money can’t get them what they want. So, I think we’re on the same page for the most part, although I do find the ‘participation trophy’ line a bit of a Gen X cliche. LOL.

Wrt the stolen bags situation, surely there was something in the back! It may not be something I want, but my SA can practically always offer me something. I wonder if the SA thought she was lying, which wouldn’t speak well of the relationship

Love your Bergdorfs example. I prefer to wear luxury items nonchalantly. I once went into my favorite boutique jewelry store and the owner had a clearly brand new grey croc Birkin out on the counter and was clearly fishing for compliments. I didn’t have anything to say about it 😂

The friend is just an IG acquaintance so don’t know specifics but I’m pretty sure she is no longer shopping there. The way she shared it, it seemed the SA was very cold and she was furious. It's a delicate dance in terms of connecting but having privacy at the same time. I understand the points you made for sure. I also appreciate you discussing the financial element. These items are expensive and it's refreshing to hear a UA-camr acknowledge that they are expensive and money doesnt come out of thin air to purchase said items. Finally, I think a lot of luxe pages with names redacted do copy, some are more shameless than others but I also think the audiences can see some of this copying. Add to that the awkward scene with the crying customer. I believe she wanted to offer you a different experience since you already think very poorly of the shopping experience in Paris.

This was such a great story. I was offered a 35 Birkin with no sales history at George V. I chalk it up to going beginning of February and getting lucky with the rapport I had with the sales associate. Everything you mentioned is 100% correct. Only went to buy some gloves for my husband and no expectations beyond that.
