The drumstick brand has a chocolate cone base bit. And because people like that, a product called Muddy Bites Waffle cone snacks is out there too. I prefer the actual cone. You need some vanilla before you get to the chocolate cone bit.

I don't know this book but apparently I'm mentioned in it (top left 39:30 ) and I'm riveted to know what I continued!

We have a televised(and radio) advent calendar that the public broadcaster puts out, it's basically like a 24 part story with really short episodes. Somehow I thought that was a global thing but maybe it's just the Nordics. Also didn't you record this like yesterday? Really fast turn around on this one🙂

Will It Lube is an interesting mathematical problem too. For a pair of given sprocket sizes and various chain lengths, will oil spread to all the links (eventually)? Is there a minimum number of links to lube for each sprocket size and chain length set ?

I couldn't make out what he was saying for most of it, unfortunately, although I did catch the odd word. Maybe the music needs to be a little quieter and the vocal a little clearer. Thanks.

i'm glad i'm not the only ones who spent way too much time thinking about what is actually going on in the world of Bing..

on the other side, i have two damage stories: 1) i had one of the first european ipod minis (2004 model) and just my luck, i was waiting for a train to arrive, i pulled it out of my pocked, semi-dropped it, but bc it was still plugged into my ears, it did a bounce and then got disconnected and flung onto the rails. not just into the bed, PERFECTLY onto the fricking rail right in front of the train. funny enough, i was at the dead-end of the station and for some reason, it just got pushed like 10cm by the train wheel. otherwise it would have been way harder to explain to the company that it got completely crushed "in the washing machine" (which we used as a reason for the insurance, bc i think dropping wasnt covered, but washing was or so). 2) the boring one: my old S10 was securely packed into a drop-resistant case with gorilla glass in front (really well protected). i dropped it dozends of times or accidentally threw it around the room, kicked it etc. it survived a 10+m fall in staircases. top case, i must say. the glass front also did absorb a few dings. but, seemingly the samsung gods were fed up and did some final destination stuff to my phone. i was in the bath and i dropped it from like 10cm onto the corner of the sink. but i PERFECTLY hit the tiny, less than half a millimeter thick corner between the case and the glass and cracked the screen in such a way, that not just the screen but something more broke inside. it got hot and prolly either the processor or the battery was damaged. still dont know how it could survive falls of that depth, but gets killed from like flopping the width of a hand.

Technically its an Anti-Damage story: Back in ye olden days, a mate and i were driving on a scooter, i on the backseat, going around 30km/h. i dont know if i felt it or were trying to get it out of my pocked, but my (pretty new) Nokia 8210 fell out of my jacket directly in front of the backwheel. we did a tiny hop and stopped. funny enough, JUST the front shell piece cracked and they were like 10 bucks back then (you could switch color and pattern etc.). ... thankfully it wasnt a 3210, otherwise i dont know if we would have stayed upright...

Holy cow is the day before my birthday boring. no really famous birthdays and no famous incidients. maybe Omar Samuel Pasley (singer OMI of "cheerleader" fame) the two things i found: - bananarama went #1 on us charts - the swiss lake lugano was barred due to chernobyl.

never ever is tim looking that old. i would say 45-50 is a proper age range. maybe 55 and younger looking i would accept too.

After listening to the podcast version, I had a random inkling to look up Whyalla, and I watched a 30 min documentary from ABC Australia about how the Steel Plant was bought by a British-Indian Billionaire after it was in danger of closing down, and people heralded him as the savior of the town. I then look at some articles that were released more recently than that video, and they paint a very different picture of him. Needless to say, I’m looking forward to hearing more about Whyalla in the next episode.

Matt, there is a site, "Zero Friction Cycling" which tests different bicycle chain lubricants on a contract basis. The host, Adam Kerin, has also trsted straight factory grease and paraffin candle wax. There are a variety of approaches involving trade offs between intensity and frequency of cleaning vs lubricant choice. Nothing is faff-free, and Adam's test methods have some limitations, but he would be a good person to contact. FYI the bicycling community has a lot of foks who are reflexively pro- or anti-wax without understanding limitations of evidence for their respective positions.

on the aussie breakdancer, there are a couple of caveats. 1) her "academic" is on the unscientific range of academics 2) she insulted the breakdance culture - due to her not being able to reach the heights someone needs to reach - with her "academic works". 3) it was pure sponsoring via a single city (otherwise no one would have voted her in). 4) her skills are subpar at best, so it is neither ridicule nor bullying. at best its overestimation of her skills on her part (and thats the nicest way of saying it). 5) last but not least, this was not even close to "giving it your all". even without comparing her to other olypiads like simone biles.

This episode was a total dud. Not enough Sofa Shop on Halifax Street, money for nothing cover, or Tommyball discussion. ;) Great show as always!
