I went to Gilbert High in 1985/1986 as an exchange student. Played sax in the marching band and the jazz band. I am forever thankful for what i learned in that year from the most remarkable, dedicated teacher Mr.Hatler and from my fellow students with their incredible commitment. I became and still am a professional saxplayer.

I was in the GHS marching band in Gilbert Arizona from 89-92

I do admire her determination, but I’m scared that so many people seem to think it’s a good idea to continue a high impact activity after an injury. People should not be risking inflicting further damage for the sake of one performance

Imagine a football player with that... be thinkin the universe is ending.

These girls are malnourished to keep their weight down, therefore they are highly subjected to breaking bones and serious injury. They push these girls too hard. The body is never been designed to go to that type of torture

She's amazing, so us adrenaline. I finished a hunt course after my horse threw me n I ripped apart my ACL.. reality/pain didn't kick in until my boot was cut off, swelling dissipated down the leg....n Holy f***. Adrenaline should be bottled for use in specific situations lol

beautiful determination through out the whole thing. As a gymnast I can see how much this would have affected her both physically and mentally, and i give her so much credit for try to fight through the rest of the routine.

OUCH! It's crazy because the adrenaline makes it take so long to realize something is REALLY wrong. You could actually see the adrenaline wear off and the pain set it. I couldn't believe the injuries I was able to compete through! Hopefully she healed up well!
