Cheers maybe you can guide me I overhauled my 03-72LE transmission When installing it, it shows the following error. In "L" it works perfect In "R" it works perfect But in "D" when starting at 1 it goes well but when going to 2 the transmission stops suddenly and returns to 1 and repeats the failure . If I put it in 2 the error is the same Thank you very much if you can guide me

Does all a40 transmissions have OD mine seems not to
Only the 4 speed has OD

Hi Paul. My mechanic is prepared to try overhaul a Aisin 03-71LE on my 1998Toyota Graniva campervan 2.7L RWD. This video is very helpful. But do you know if there are any specialised tools he would need to have to repair it.

I searched a lot about it on the internet but I don't know how to read the metal tag plate on the gearbox. Its Aisin AW model number: 03-70LS Serial number: 030B-07698 Can you tell me what transmission is this and what is its manufacturing year. I am installing it with Toyota 3sfe engine in my Toyota van (Toyota townace van).
