      sorry for late reply, it's about 100 meters from the Nippombashi metro station, but if you have heavy luggage it may be toughers as you have to go up and down the stairs within the metro itself.

    Great Video. Does it get clean/smell fresh? Or would you always ad a washing pod too? How about the dry temperature. Is it very hot or risk of shrinking? You cannot adjust anything ;)

      It smelled clean afterwards. Dryers in Japan tend to lack "power", even for small load I found I have to dry 30-45 min, longer for larger loads

      Hi the onsen are separated by gender, each with its own, so you are good. No tattoos allowed though

      Hi Johnray, it's a public onsen so we are not supposed to film or take photos, however there are times when you might find yourself alone.

      Hi Destiny, the all you can eat + all you can drink menu prices range from JPY 12,100 to 48,400, quality of the beef is the difference, with A5 grade Kobe beef the highest, which was what we had, we ate there 3 times and I can attest you don't need the highest grade to have a great meal.     Several years ago, this hotel was the "IBIS SHINJUKU HOTEL". Different brand now, but glad it's still a hotel. The location is great.

    Did you find the city was accessible enough from this Ryokan? Looks like it's about an 8 minute walk to the nearest station.

      prob 15 min walk to Takashimaya SQ, 10-15 min walk to most department stores, so not too bad. Plenty of taxi on that street though, we always Uber or Taxi to Shinjuku Station if have luggage, ask them to drop u off in East Gate, next to Lumine EST, there are elevators there

    Hi, do you know if the stone sauna/rockbed sauna are mixed sex or segregated please? Struggling to gind this info anywhere.

      Hi Caroline, we didn't try the stone sauna so not 100% sure, but based on previous experience in other public onsets such as Spadium in Tokyo, areas in which clothing are required (e.g. stone sauna) are usually mixed gender.

      Hi on weekends I recommend go there early as it will get crowded with locals. Generally day time prob better since you can enjoy the outdoor garden and foot baths. All yukatas are free to use, you get to choose the colors at the entry. If you want to go outside but it's cold, feel free the grab a hanten (jacket) which is also free

      @@bam9039 yes it includes the Yakata, of which there were many colors to choose from, you can also use the Hanten (thick jacket) if it's cold and you want to explore the outdoor are which i highly recommend
