Go to North Carolina. It's perfect.
How is Florence? Im currently being transferred to my company DC in Dillion, but i would like to put my family in a nice area.
Thanks for your patience on a response. We were out of town at a conference. Feel free to call me and I'd be happy to point you in the right direction. 843-422-1880
Well done!
Thanks for the comment!
SC taxes FL pensions
29650 is one of those?
It is not. I believe that is Greer, SC correct? Median income of 70K and median home price of $199K based on what I found.
@@explorelowcountry is what it is
Mosquitoes, Hurricanes, snakes, (gators in Columbus and Brunswick Co to name a few countries) in North Carolina. I have lived in both states and love both because they are almost exact. North of Raleigh a little cooler and gets some snow.. Everyone should do their own homework and visit often before you decide to move to any state. The cost of housing is still cheaper compared to the rest of the east coast.. and pollen is in every state that has Spring.. Charleston/ Summerville area has great job market. South Carolina is a good retirement place..Hilton Head is Not typical of the rest of South Carolina they could not pay me to live there .
No way I would move to that boring State nothing to do getting eaten up by mosquitoes flys spiders snakes etc everywhere! Its tooo country for me! I will never ever want to live nowhere down south!
I like both
South Carolina is full now. Please consider Mississippi or Alabama.
My wife and I going to SC to check out the area of Greenville area for possibility of moving from FL, we are retired and the cost of living here in FL it's very high, our property ins is $ 9500 with the state ins, cars ( 3 ) $3800 per year clean driving record, property tax $ 7300 , so we are definitely ready to move a way from this Shit state
Thanks for the comment! Sorry to hear that you're not loving where you live. Greeneville is such a great area. Let us know if you would like any help making a connection there. We have a couple of terrific agents that we refer to in that market. Feel free to give us a buzz at 843-481-2225 or email me directly at tim@thepeircegroup.com
You think traffic is bad in SC ... go to Seattle ...
You did a great job with this video. Great content. I'm born and raised in the midlands of SC, and we rarely get any good recognition. SC supposed to be at the bottom for education, salaries, unemployment ect, but I've always have thrived here, and never saw a reason to flee it. Don't let the stats stop you from coming to our state. I love my rural life, they can keep those big cities!
Thanks for the kind words! Nothing better than loving where you live!
What an idiot
What is the reality of work opportunities and pay in SC? Is it hard to find work/start a business in central to eastern SC?
Prisons are a big thing in South Carolina, both for jobs and inmates. Be warned!
SC does not want you here 🫵👍
Please listen to this. Stay away. We native South Carolinians have become used to all these inconveniences and it's just not fair for someone to move here from a Northern state and have to constantly correct us. It's just too much of a burden for you to have to endure a bunch of backward Southerners. Also, I'm constantly hearing we don't have any good restaurants. Save yourself a lot of grief and move to Florida; It's full of Northerners already, you'll feel right at home.
Crime incidents are kept hidden in Myrtle Beach because it's a Tourist Town.
Kiawah island here! I’m a NJ native and I LOVE South Carolina
There is a big reason why we have big traffic. SC is a republican state. The government refused to raise gas tax for 30 years. This put us at the second to the lowest gas tax in the US. Because of this...the roads are too small, not safe. We have the number one most dangerous roads in the US. The state house voted to raise the tax by 12 cents...the republican governor vetoed it...the house over road the vetoe. The need was a 20 cent rise but 12 is better than nothing. This just happened a few years ago. It will take years to catch up with the years of neglect. Thousands and thousands have died on the roads because of the conservative mind set. This is why our traffic is bad. All two lanes should be four, four should be six or eight.
What do you do with your yearly car properly tax dollars, a tax most states don’t have 😂
Another thing to note.....A lot of places close in the off season especially in Myrtle Beach. The average person who doesn't live here doesn't realize that. Compared to say Florida were everything stays open just about year long.
Spent my entire summers growing up in sea pines and I absolutely love Hilton head. My parents have a place in HH Plantation and I’m actually looking for something in Wexford at the moment. I love sea pines but it’s literally changed so much and not for the better. My parents have free access to get into sea pines while living in HH plantation, so if y’all are looking for a good area in Hilton head that is reasonable in price, I recommend HH plantation. I currently live in Greenville, SC and I can’t even tell you how much it has grown in this area within the last few years. The ultimate downside is the traffic. I do love Greenville as well though. Another location in South Carolina that has grown is the Georgetown area. Overall South Carolina is home for me :)
Go home, Yankees.
You left out two other major cities Orlando, and Tampa, they are also major attractions throughout the country. In fact, both Tampa, and Orlando, get more attractions all year round every year more than cities like Jacksonville, and Fort Lauderdale.
Yes much of South Carolina has gotten so much worse. My recommendation is consider someplace else, anywhere else but South Carolina
The congestion is awful because of transplants. Life in general is getting crappier because of transplants. If you're not from here, don't move here.
The traffic here is HORRENDOUS....dont move here
As a former native of NC and currently in SC...These places are affordable and good to raise a family in nice suburban area with a decent house when compared to California or New York...
The incomers are destroying the south. Please stay away.
The MAIN REASON is that WE DONT WANT YOU HERE! Looking for out of state tags has become a fun pass time for me and my friends.
You want be happy here. Don't move here.
Captain Obvious saying a whole lot of nothing about something. Move along folks, nothing to see here.
Charleston is racist and stuck in the past. Your honesty was refreshing on day with the heat index of 135.
I agree. Please stay away.
No. It’s a free country. Who are you to tell someone they can’t move to a different state? I’ll be moving here next year.
make sure to keep telling people not to move here. We’re full.
I know nothing about trading /investment and l'm keen on getting started. What are some strategies to get started with?
As a beginner, it's essential for you to have a mentor to keep you accountable. I'm guided by a widely known crypto consultant
Mrs Mary Patricia Hester
This is correct, Mary's strategy has normalized winning trades for me also, and it's a huge milestone for me looking back to how it all started..
Isn't she the same Mrs Mary Patricia Hester neighbors are talking about, she has to be a perfect expect for people to talk about her so well.
Her platform is wonderful, and her services are exceptional
Stop with the food diversity nonesense. Charleston has Indian and Vietnamese and African and whut?
It to hot and to cold and road sucks
've been here since birth and have observations. Traffic is in the eye of the beholder. I lived in Boston and Chicago and Atlanta, traffic sucks. But the SC traffic is terrible. Thanks to the snow birds, causing the houses and yards to be smaller and smaller with more people, it gets packed up. It's probably best to just go live somewhere else. I hear Vermont is accepting applications. And if you come in, don't bring your ideology to SC, adapt your ideology to what SC is. Stop trying to change us. Eat BBQ, not the uppity crap. The cheap south was good until the yanks rolled in and ruined it. Housing costs went 3x-4x, old farmer homes and land are being pushed and taken away from generational families because the property tax is forcing out by pricing an entire generation of folks. If you do not slow down and be friendly and respectful, native people here will get pissed at you. You better not cut off people in traffic, you better ask and be nice, you better open doors for people. You better at least act like you love Jesus. Otherwise, some southern folks are gonna teach you a lesson in manners. Did I also mention we are a strong 1st amendment, 2nd amendment state with CCW and open carry legal. Don't come hear and complain about it if you don't like it. If you love left liberalism, once again, don't come here and push that ideology. We don't go to liberal areas and push conservatism, just don't come here and shove liberalism in our faces. If you think you will like it and can acclimate into the southern culture, be reborn into the new south, then give it a try. Otherwise, just go away.
Can I get an Amen! Yes, yes, yes to everything you said. I moved here 34 years ago and loved the way it used to be. Friendly , welcoming, laid back, safe and no infighting. The liberal nonsense taking hold nauseates me. I acclimated. (Was always conservative ideologically) I loved the hospitality, the genteel people. But there is definitely a change in the influx of people coming now. Rude, can't drive and for the first time ever, I've actually feared for my life. I'm too old to look at moving elsewhere...so I guess I'll have to grin and bear it. There's only so many roads and bridges they can build in the low country for infrastructure because of the wetlands and waterways. So don't come here and expect them to pave over what makes this place so beautiful. I wish I-526 was never built. In 1995 is when the explosion began and it hasn't stopped. Many families with heirs property on Daniel Island and Cainhoy was wrangled away from them by unscrupulous developers. They are now going after Ravenel and Adams Run. I wish the madness would just stop!
I live in the state of Florida I hate the State of Florida Florida is not the place to be if I had my brother's I rather live in South Carolina or Tennessee Florida is not Florida is not the place to be
Neither.
I'm looking to move to SC for a huge job opp. By way of NC and now DMV. But I fear the state may lack diversity. Any thoughts on this?
Thanks for the comment. As licensed Realtors, we cannot comment on this due to fair housing laws. I believe that the information you may be looking for can be found here though: www.census.gov/library/stories/state-by-state/south-carolina-population-change-between-census-decade.html#:~:text=Race%20and%20ethnicity%20(White%20alone,%25%2C%20up%20from%2054.9%25). Hoping that helps. If you have any other questions and would like to speak with us, don't hesitate to call. 843-481-2225
It's not a bad place to live if you work from home. 😢
Looking to move to Summerville in 1-2 years after I graduate psychiatric NP school
Yeah and we have LOTS of poisonous snakes and gators and feral hogs and skeeters and gnats...man eating fungi....man eating spiders....especially YANKEE eating spiders...rats as big as raccoons, man eating deer.....opossums that eat the deer and great white sharks that patrol the waters off myrtle beach and folly and edisto and beaufort and zombies that haunt the streets of Charleston at night especially along the battery ready to pounce on the unsuspecting Yankee looking to gentrify seemingly depressed neighborhoods...................................
I've.live in Monroe north carolina , its always an adventure to go down to south carolina. Don't miss the Sally chitlin strut
I drove from California to check it out. Traffic, that is, for me, the number one reason I would never move there. To me, Greenville is for young people, with beautiful downtown condos and lots of hiking trails.
Epic and truthful video 🇺🇸👍👏🏿🙏🙌🏾🔥❤️thank you so much for your transparency 🙏❤️
Heavy humidity ! North Charleston and Moncks Corner is the hottest parts….but once you adapt to the humidity it’s a beautiful state to live in 👍🔥👏🏿🙌🏾🙏❤️🇺🇸😘
