I have never heard of a 3.0 engine. Can you specify this engine type? And I would recommend you trying out 4.0 V6
3.0 1KD FTV diesel engine
This is the 3L D4D Toyota diesel engine. Very reliable. The 4.0 V6 came in the Prado over here.

As I'm learning and experimenting with the Jimny's handling and capabilities I found out that the descent control takes the vehicle downhill at 5kmph in 4L and 10kmph in 4H. Or you could just brake it down or in 2W L gear. Many ways to do the job.
The steep climb through the bush was EPIC in the Offender Jimny 🔥 the rest we've now done them innumerable times but still crazy fun of course
