"Do they really want to see a lesbian going up and down in a stair lift!?"
When ever I need cheering up I watch my Acorn Antiques DVD. It’s so clever.
Georgian stereo unit. Gold!
Eight years gone and boy, do we still miss her talent.
Fantastic, one off humour these days!
God I remember the woman’s weekly Christmas annuals my granny had
Brilliant and sorely missed
Thank you for sharing this tribute. VW was just so special, so very funny I still miss her. Sue Sydney Australia
Too much audience noise to hear everything they are saying.☹️
What an extraordinary talent and gone far too soon! Thanks so much for sharing! It was a beautiful watch ... yet again!
No more chasing the dragon for miss Berta 😂
it’s still a shock ending 👌
Do they want to see a lesbian go up and down on a stairlift?
It was a good parody of a bad soap
Like your reaction.
I want to go for a meal at the Internet Sushi Bistro.
It was a series. It was called Crossroads.
I have been watching, and rewatching, and rewat....,( well you get the idea) and have always loved it; Victoria Wood, Celia Imrie, Julie Walters, Duncan Preston - whats not to love? But I just watched a documentary about "Crossroads" and its star Noel Gordon, and, now that I have more context, I enjoy "Acorn Antiques" even more than before!
So many years before WOKE our announcer got it right .
My real name is Fern
This is the best thing my eyes have had the pleasure of viewing in for ever. Love them. Thank you for uploading this!
Victoria really is precious--hope she knew it.
This American loves Victoria Wood, as well as the usual band of actors who bring her works to life. Brilliant, brainy, and zany.
Pure genius. Xxx
SO ahead of her time Our Vic. Look at the disasterous comeback "Crossroads" tried to make in 2003, all sexed -up.
the clunkiness and self-awareness of this show makes it just incredible
Neil Morrissey has all the charisma of a flattened badger.
Does anyone know where I can find the lyrics?
Are the lyrics available anywhere?
Mrs Overall what a comedy character. It's making me laugh to much. I'm not an expert on knobs That's not what I've heard .
Some of the rightwingers not getting the jokes in this sketch.
Asians, wheelchairs, that’s where the jobs are these days.
Soo funny and a brilliant actress to boot mrs edwards here sadly missed rest in peace
I absolutely love and appreciate Victoria Wood and to be honest, I'm a lifelong drug addict , so my opinion probably means nothing to you all, but for what it's worth, or not, Victoria Woods, I think is the best/greatest. I enjoy and understand everything you've ever done. Thank you Victoria .
Your opinions matter, no matter what. I'm glad you enjoy VW so much
When they turned the antique shop into a sports centre is my absolute favourite. The legend has it that the rest of cast hadn’t seen Mrs O in her aerobics outfit prior to filming - you can see them trying to hold it together when she sashays in, pelvis first as always. TV gold
Thank you so much Michael
The thumbnail looks like Rits Skeeter and Dolores Umbridge are about to throw down! 😅🤣😂🤣😂
I wish they would put Victoria Wood 's programmes back on tv..they were works of art 💖💖
Celia Imrie is wonderful, I love her autobiography The Happy Hoofer ❤️
The show is brilliant
"Could you move, I'm trying to photograph the brickwork." I didn't see that coming!
Thank you ❤️
Love it! Love it! Love it!
I love this!
Sadly in 2021 you won't get this shown on TV no matter who wrote it, how well it's written or performed as snowflake society would deem it too offensive to Asians, disabled, LGBTDFSMFI and Antique dealers! Sad really that society seems to no longer be able to have a laugh at itself.
You’re the snowflake hun.
@@nativenewlondoner Ha Ha Ha! Funniest thing I've read all year! Far from it.
@@andrewhaines8603 Victoria wood would piss on you. She had no time for whiney sad old reactionaries
@@andrewhaines8603 Butthurt how much do I care? Not much.
@@tonycavanagh1929 I feel you've misinterpreted my comment. I'd love to see this and many other comedy sketches shown on screen, but sadly there are those who find even the slightest remark made about a "minority" offensive. It's sad that Victoria Wood was taken from us too early. I'd love to see what she would have done with Covid and lockdown!
Is that Victoria Coren interviewing the cast?
“Well im not an expert on knobs”. “Not that I’ve heard” 😂😂😂
I was in Cumbria judging a Diana Rigg lookalike Competition
Oh gawd. If anyone said any of this now there would be a Twitter outcry - as people who have nothing better to do have hysterics about something that’s got bugger all to do with them.
Big oooof
Genius woman.
Richard E Grant... so heartbreakingly prescient in his choice of words. I like to think Victoria would have found laughter in the irony of his comments. 🥰💔❣️
