Huddle Up with Howard- Interview with George Teague
Wow. Listening to this just brings back a lot of ugly memories about how far in advance the move to LA was already in the bag with Georgia dying of cancer. I loved going to the Dome to watch the GSOT. But Kroenke / Shaw / Jones ? Hunt sure screwed us. Dismantling the team without Martz even knowing it. In retrospect and especially hearing Martz talk about the destruction of the defense and no offensive linemen going into '04, it's just such a lowdown thing to have done to this great football market.
I learned so much about pitching when he was doing Red Sox games.
1989
So what's going on when they trade away struggling batters, and those batters blossom in another organization? Same with pitching. It seems like the training, coaching, support, and development is lacking.
Love watching the legends talk about their stuff ….priceless !!
White Sox fan. Still my most favorite closer of all time. I’d take him over Yankees Mariano Riveria any day for my all time team. He had flare and was dominant he was once league MVP. A closer league MVP!
One of the Best Red Sox players ever. I was 14 when they got him in '78...I was pumped. He brought talent and swagger to the team. But for injuries and a damn good Yankees team...the '78 Sox likely would have won the World Series. When the Sox were healthy, they were out of control good. <sigh> Great to See the Eck doing so well!
Love it that we get Tommy Pham back !
what a pitcher. and a cool dude.
The King
I loved watching Eck’s unique delivery. Sidearm is rare enough, but he also took the ball out of his glove much earlier in his motion than most pitchers; the ball was visible to everyone for longer, in his bare hand. It looks a bit odd but cool. Speaking of cool, I liked the long hair, too.
The wizard was great
Still my favorite pitcher!❤
Carmella Bing'd out....working super vision right ups.....major league dugout....bull pen....🙋♀️🙇♀️🤷♀️🙅♀️🤦♀️🙎♀️🙍♀️🙆♀️💁♀️👩🏾🎓👩🏽🎓👩🏿🎓👩🎓👩🏻🎓class-less degrees....When last time somebody got a 4 year degree....?👰🏿♀️👰🏾♀️👰♀️👰🏼♀️👰🏻♀️
AEW/ROH is the best pro wrestling company in the world
I thought that said Gaybar at first. Had to take a double take.
TK definitely should sign Scott D'More

I had patience until they fired Berube. Now I want immediate results.
GO CARDINALS!!
Just Seeing this Now from last year. AEW is cool For Eddie Kingston.
Lots of MiLB clubs are doing/have done "alternate on-field identities" this year. This looks like lots and lots of fun. Often they feature an iconic local food, like the Akron Sauerkraut Balls, Hartford Bouncing Pickles, Charleston Boiled Peanuts, Erie Pepperoni Balls, Maine Bean Suppahs, and yeah, the Springfield Cashew Chicken. (A local Chinese chef, David Leong, invented the dish in the 1960s, ask anyone in Springfield! It's like fried boneless chicken, brown gravy, with rice, garnished with cashew nuts and chopped green onion.) . . . Other alt MiLB identities include Negro Leagues team names, Hispanic names, and lots of other throwback and other identities. Fort Wayne became the Daisies to honor the All-American Girls Professional Baseball League. Triple-A Iowa became the "Iowa Caucuses." www.milb.com/news/surveying-2023-team-alternate-identities
Yes. There's no point in the Cardinals, like, "giving up" on this season. They likely won't reach the postseason, but we want to see them continue to move up in the standings. We also want to see the younger players continue to hone their skills and raise their stats.
Peanut butter on a burger? It's a treasured tradition in Sedalia, Missouri, where the Wheel Inn drive-in, at the intersection of Highways 50 and 65, built its fame on "the original guberburger." It was a thin steakburger ("smashburger") with a peanut butter topping, lettuce, tomato, and salad dressing (Miracle Whip), but no cheese. Served with Soozie-Q (curly) fries. They served guberburgers from 1946 until about 2014, when the intersection was widened and the historic drive-in, a local landmark, was demolished. Gone but not forgotten! Don't knock it til you've tried it.
'Promosm'
change up grip?????
Cards need to sell. Problem is who you really have with value? Goldey, Nado, Walker, and gorman. Probably about it. I'd trade Goldey. And trade a couple o.f. for some bull pen dudes.
Joe, it looks like you need to wipe off the lens of your camera. Good show.
Sadly he doesn’t have the accent 😢
Man this month has been hard to watch. Here in Central Missouri we usually have the Royals to kind of enjoy during the few times when the Cardinals are struggling, but . . . ugghhh. So, how much of the Cardinals' 2023 struggles (especially regarding pitching) might be attributable to the loss of Yadi, the pitcher-whisperer? And/or on the effects of new pitching/hitting coaches? I'd love to hear your thoughts on this.
Eck was awesome, even as an announcer
I am not going to blame anybody for the decision but a resignation would have been a better way of a dissmisal
Brandon Lang is a STONE COLD LOSER!!!
Today's relief pitchers are most specialists. They may come in to face only one or two batters. In Eck's time, pitchers would throw multiple innings in relief. Much different. I'm not saying anything negative about their roles today or of yesteryear. I'm just saying how things change.
Eck was basically a one inning guy. You have to go back to the 70s with the likes of Sutter, Gossage, Fingers, Marshall, etc to find the last of the multi inning closers.
Crikey!
Promo-SM 😌
Very good info
GO CARDS

Matt to take over calling Cards games?
I think they should have given him an option to resign
philosophical difference is a valid reason to dismiss a manager or head coach.
RIP Jay Jr ….. we are going to miss you and your humor.
Mcmillan is one of the greatest saftie's I've ever seen. He was getting touchdowns left and right. Unstoppable player
Era lo máximo 👏👏👏
This helped me with my first teen court juror duties. Thank you!
Really been enjoying your guys content! Bob is one cool cat! 😎
The Wizard of Oz! Back when you didn’t look at an iPad in the dugout in between innings.
