Let's start with Jeep's most popular car in India, the Jeep Compass, which marked the brand's impressive entry into the Indian market in July 2017. In its very first month, Jeep sold 900 Compass units, followed by 2,000 units in the subsequent months, and sales even peaked at 3,000 units at one point.
However, as of May 2024, only 269 Compass units were sold, and that too with difficulty. The main reason for this drop in sales is the price, which, on-road in Delhi, goes up to ₹40 lakh. This places it in the same segment as cars like the Tata Harrier and Hyundai Creta, prompting the meme "Does this even make sense?
