Is it really worth it though? Babycat is a spicy, smoky, rich vanilla and leather that has not only taken up a lot of my time and money, but has also won...

I’m loving the title on this one! 🤣
Was up so late, I was like… “uhhh… yeah, this will do!” 😂
Nice work on this mate, thanks + subbed
Thank you! I’m glad you enjoyed it 😅
babycat is the best fragrance I own, it's an absolute masterpiece.
It’s so good! a really pop done scent. I just wish it wasn’t so pricey. Have you tried Rifaqaat?
Great to see a new video bud, appreciate your hard work and honesty in this
Thank you! 😄
I thought people with a bumpy hair cuticle just means you have natfuql texture like curly hair has natural texture ? Ie bumpy x
You are right that different hair types will feel different and that some feel more porous, though the most significant way I have been able to tell is when the strand has inconsistent textures running through the same strand (for example; it feels smooth running your fingers through and then it will immediately feel harder on the way down). Most people that style their hair have this issue to some degree and it is even more common the longer your hair is. While straight, curly and coily all have various amount of textures as the hair grows from the follicle, the cuticle should feel consistent all the way through. It is manageable but takes time and patience. I hope this helps!
You’re on fire with these videos mate!
Trying my best! 😅
It is a bit much but then I have struggled with sandalwood in the past. Cracking work buddy thanks
Same here! I think it might be the milky and balsamic notes competing for attention, even though one still dominates. I’m so grateful. Thank you sm! Still figuring out this algorithm 😅
So happy to see another fragrance video so soon, you’re getting good at this! But can I just say it’s nice to see you get your nose on what you’re talking about, always makes the review that much more genuine! Hope it’s ok to say 💜
I have been on a rampage the last few weeks trying to get this editing done! 😆😈 Thank you sm! I am truly honoured to hear that (and so soon!) and I hope to have more content out shortly 💌
@@advisemethisDefinitely second this, the video flows so much better. And don’t worry about length, you can’t rush fragrances! 😉
Thank you!!!!!😊
❤ that was awesome my brother is a hairdresser and my beautiful loooong locks are getting damaged since moving back to USA from italy. I lived there 26 yrs. I now live between Montana and Vegas. Both dry one cold one hot. I do the exact same thing for my hair. As always. Wash air dry or blow dry then flat iron bio ionic upper 1/3 from roots down then curling iron Ghd creative curl the rest of the way. Only once a week. Every week. Always had a water softener. Water is well water in Montana. Chlorinated in Vegas. Now I have a halo system to filter water but it’s not really soft. I was using RAHUA CLASSIC shampoo and omega 9 hair mask. Leave in treatment rahua. Ghd heat spray. My naturally wavy hair in the last year and a half has turned almost stick straight I saw my ends and even in the middle breakage. Even under the nape. The only thing besides where I live that I e done different is for a year if I’m in the pool a couple of hours ( I never get me hair wet) I would twist my hair and put ir in a twisted bun secure with a stretched out SILK ( not satin) scrunchie. Also when washing my face. Def cuter than a shower cap in front of new bf. So what do u think is breaking it Water Styling Scrunchie Other 😮 I really liked the amount of info you gave us. I already subscribed and will be watching all your videos I appreciate you taking the time to read this. And do that video
Thank you so much for subscribing and for sharing your hair journey with me! It sounds like you’ve put a lot of thought and care into maintaining your beautiful long hair, so I understand how frustrating it must be to see it change. There are a few factors here that could be contributing to the breakage and changes in texture, and I’ll touch on each. First, water quality can make a big difference. Since you’ve lived in Italy with a water softener, transitioning to harder water (even with the halo system) in Montana and chlorinated water in Vegas could affect your hair’s elasticity and strength over time. Hard water can cause minerals to build up, making hair more brittle. Rather than making big adjustments like installing water filters in every new location, I’d actually suggest using a low-pH shampoo to help neutralize hard water effects. This is more convenient and effective. Personally, I like the K18 shampoos-they’re designed with this technology to work against mineral buildup while being gentle on the hair. Using a product like this will give you a great cleanse, and you can rely on your conditioner or mask for moisture and repair. If you don’t see improvements, a water softener could be the next step. For extra protection, you might also consider getting a clear gloss treatment if you haven’t tried one yet. It can add shine, protect your strands, and help reduce breakage. As for the scrunchie, using silk is typically gentle, so it’s unlikely to be a main cause. That said, a lighter hold or looser twist could help minimize any potential friction. Lastly, climate differences-going from dry cold to dry heat-can also lead to changes in hair texture and strength over time, so adding more moisture might be beneficial. I’m really glad you enjoyed the video! I’m happy to help however I can. Thanks again for watching and sharing your story! 🥰
Fantastic job on this - particularly agree about how the rose in Galop d’Hermes loses something as it dries down. You’re very perceptive. Subbed
Yes! It’s almost like some rose fragrances get tired and turn into a soft gardenia. However, I find that this does not happen with Rose Absolute/Centifolia. Thank you sm! 😄 Galop d’Hermès is such a fantastic scent. I’m planning on making more of these very soon.
Cracking work on this mate, really hope you keep up with these excellent fragrance videos
Thank you sm and definitely will be! So good to see comments like this 😁
You have such a good nose! So happy to have found your channel & excited for more 💜
Thank you so much! I am honoured 😅 I appreciate every bit of the support and comments like this are so helpful ❤️
Absolutely first class work on this, really appreciate the detail you go into. Very happy to give you a sub and would love to see you doing some fragrance first impressions! 🤟
That’s a really good idea! I will think about that one… lmk if you have any ideas! Thank you heaps for saying that! It means a lot as I’m so new to this platform 😄
If you like Tuxedo, be sure to check out Guerlain's Angelique Noire, which I regard as Tuxedo's big brother. Tuxedo to my nose is violet leaf and vanilla with a touch of patchouli and rose. The angelique in Angelique Noire is even more green than Tuxedo's violet leaf. It's a superb foil against the pear-pink pepper-vanilla body of the fragrance.
I was just looking it up after reading and it looks really nice! If it is still available, I will go try it. I just saw that this is the same perfumer that has done a lot of Prada’s iconic flankers and recently YSL’s MYSLF flankers. I think that is the one thing I love about Tuxedo; the violet leaf! But that’s just my brain trying to figure out my nose. Thank you for your engagement, I very much appreciate your support! 😅
@@advisemethis Let me know what you think. Angelique Noire and Amouage's Jubilation XXV (and it's big brother Jubilation 40) are my all-time favourites. Xerjoff's RICHWOOD also deserves a place of honour.
@@greglongphee2034 I was on my way back home and I did go past the Guerlain counter! I tried Angélique Nior and it’s really nice! You’re right, it’s a lot greener. I was trying the others and I was really liking that patchouli one too. A lot of them are really soft even the deeper ones.
@@advisemethis I was listening to a recent Demi Rawling review during which she offered that fragrances she took an immediate liking to she often grew tired of, while ones that required some patience and perseverance often became favourites. It sounded like my experience of Angelique Noire. I was put off by the bitter green angelique at first, but have come to love the way it contrasts with the pear and pink pepper vanilla. Guerlain releases are often pricey, but they sure do produce some classics. If you haven't tried their Heritage EDT, do yourself a solid and check it out. It's even affordable. I hear they're about to discontinue the Arts and Materials Collection that A.N. is a part of, in favour of some new extraits.
I learn so much from you! Honestly could not have described Tuxedo better myself, it is imo the best and truest unisex fragrance 😍🙌 I want to buy but you’re right, they’re too expensive so I’ll definitely look for that dupe 🙈 I love how you’re being real about their profits, corporate greed at its finest !
You’re too good 🥹❤️ STG the dupes are fricken amazing! The Tux by Maison Alhambra seems to be the best alternative. L’Oréal don’t have shit against these middle eastern dupes 😉 😂
Babycat is now sold on the US YSL website for 295 with free shipping
Yes! This is true that limited countries such as US and Canada have this fragrance and is more readily available. In Australia however, this is sadly not the case! 😭 which is why I decided to pay the big premium to get it here! It is just under AUD $500 (about USD $325) for 125mL as of Nov 2024. If you’re in a country that has it, you’re so lucky! 😄
YAAAASSSS!! Been waiting for this one 😍😍🙌
Yay thank you! hope by this helps you on your fragrance quest 😭🥰❤️
Great video, i 💙 SK-II products! I am a man Big adorer of beauty products. You explain everything so nicely and simply! I think Nothing compares to SK-II there are cheaper solutions but very effective...One Thing, Numbuzin, Mixsoon, Graymelin, Cos De Baha, Purito, Neogen....which have the same ingredient! I use it after cleansing as the first step day+night and then serums....I am a new subscriber and i watched all the videos of your channel! Have a Wonderful day, greetings from Athens•Greece✌️
I agree with you. SK-II is very good! I think it is in the quality of galactomyces. I’m honoured! 😅 Thank you so much for watching. Please feel welcome to let me know what you would like to see discussed on this channel.
This was a whole case study, love it! Never knew this much about SK-II!!❤
You are too kind! 🥰 My OCD brain is wanting to know what happened to SK-1
Such a helpful video! Thank you Bee🥰🤗
