Thanks for listening. Yes, I wrote this years ago when I had major health issues that changed my lifestyle.

Hello John. Actually this recording is very simply done. 1. Recorded video and audio with my iphone 13. 2. Uploaded audio from that recording to Audacity and added a little reverb. 3. Recorded background bass with my keyboard synthesizer 4. Mixed both in Audacity and exported audio mix back to video. Hope this helps.

​​@@annetteallain I absolutely agree....the song lyrics speak so deeply of God's love for us! It's quite a versatile song especially useful for thanksgiving day liturgy. It seems there should be plenty of good contemporary songs for thanksgiving day but when it gets down to it there really kinda isn't....🤔. But even just this one as a communion or post communion would be very sufficient You sing and play so beautifully Annette. I would say that you make it sound even better than the original recording! I think I hear an accompanying track there also?

This is the same group of Cistercian monks from St. Joseph's Abbey who recorded albums in gregorian chant. They continue to use both latin and english for their prayer. The English version with guitar has enabled many to appreciate the psalms of compline in a language they comprehend. I consider this a gift as it enables people to pray in a manner which has meaning for them. Whatever the language or melody used, the psalms of compline remain the same.
