There Are Certain Realities, Observations of an Atheist

As a former teacher, I am concerned about the "so called" religious apologetics classes taught in many religious schools and colleges, because these classes tend to teach the apologetic arguments without also teaching the counter arguments (strawman arguments don't count). Thus rather than receiving a proper Education, the students are merely being subjected to simple Indocination. In my book T...

In this video I turn a small drink bottle into an alcohol field stove, which I make using my Victorinox Swiss Champ pocket knife. Would the cocking lever stock part from op 360 fit on cobra 80
I'm not sure, as I've not handled that particular crossbow and so don't know the measurements. That said, I believe the manufacturers of the magazine may make a version for the 360 or similar, so that's something you might want to look at. That said, in the subsequent videos I do make a folding stock for this cobra, so you might want to check them out first, before deciding which system to go with. There are links to the other videos in the description of this video. Let me know which system you decide to use, I would be very interested to know which one you decide to use.
@Jeff.Lippman.Presents yh thanks
I cheated a bit... I coated the grooves on the sides and the top rails with 2 coats of teflon spray. It cocks very smooth now. I waxed the strings... Waiting on my additional parts to get here to test it fully.
@@networknutcaseI wouldn't call lubricating your crossbow and waxing the strings cheating, I think that is more matter of good maintenance.
Wonderful.
Thank you
Great upload, thankyou for your efforts
@@franksinatra5071 thanks for your feedback, it's really appreciated.
Jeffrey my good man. Id love a part 2 on this, specifically elaborating on the medicine/ herbs/ heavy metals used and name each vial/ small jar of their benefits and usage. You did that very efficiently with only a few but the rest you simply named the substance and moved on to the next drawers. Forgive me if this is too demanding but it's one of my favourite videos on your channel 🤝. Thankyou kindly and I hope you're well
I appreciate your feedback, in 2020 when the video was made we were of course on lockdown so the Brixham pirate festival had to be done as a virtual event, and everyone was only given a 15 minute slot. But I'd be happy to look into doing a follow-up.
I recommend you check out the Roxon KS2E (or KS2 Elite). It's a great and affordable tool and it's very different from the competition. I'm waiting for mine to arrive in a few days...
I will have to look into that.
I carry a Champ and a Ranger.
A good combination
Great video. Thank you sir 👍
You're very welcome
I have now been able to carry the toothpick as well as the fire stick thanks to your video. I think I will pass on the bearing, but the addition of a second set of tweezers is a great idea. Thanks for posting this.
@@ronwalsh that's the great thing about customisation, you have to have it the way you want it.
That's a TANK man, you seem to be a gentleman 🤔🤔
Thank you, I appreciate that.
Now you just need a place to stash some cord for your fire drill bow, and you're totally covered. I suppose you could use a bootlace.
There is a space underneath the Philips screwdriver head which could hold a small amount of thin cordage, fishing line for example.
Thanks for this Jeffery, very informative and well presented review. I’m now off to purchase these binoculars. Keep up the great work. It’s appreciated

You're very welcome, I'm so pleased you found it helpful.
How the heck did you find that ferro rod hack?!?
I find the toothpick very useful, so I was looking for a way to store the feral rod without having to give up the toothpick. What's nice about this hack is that the rod is held in place by two of the blades, this is useful because you have to live them both up to release the rod, which of course means you can use either one of the blades on its own without it dropping out.
Thanks. is the audio low? How did you get my cat?

Religion is objectively a man made construct, which is true regardless as to whether or not a god exists. My book examines the claims made about god and looks at where those claims come from and how well they hold up to scrutiny, as well as the implications of that analysis.

I think you won't be disappointed, it's as effective as it is beautiful.
I question the accuracy of this. I doubt that most people used char cloth. Cloth was expensive. I think common folk probably used charred punk wood more often. Its common, free, and has advantages over char cloth. Your thoughts?
Rags were a common item and were indeed used to make char cloth. However you are correct to suppose that it was a valuable commodity, which is one of the reasons why the inner lid was used to extinguish the char material as soon as the brimstone match was lit, avoiding waste and greatly extending its usefulness.
I recently bought a German tankard from 1781. Is it safe to say it contains lead? And, if so, is it safe to drink out of? And is it sacrilegious to drink out of a tankard so old?
How many sips can I take before I start losing IQ points? Also, it’s a gift for someone else. Should I tell them it contains lead, or just let them use it and see what happens?
That is a very reasonable set of questions. The first thing I would have to say is that at that age it is absolutely made with lead. Providing it's clean you can of course drink with it still, but every time you do so, a tiny amount of lead may find its way into your drink. Therefore the best advice if you intend to use it to drink with, is to only use it infrequently. However from a safety perspective, it's probably better to just use it as a collectible or a decoration, and acquire a modern copy to actually drink from.
If it's a gift, I would warn them that being an original, it will contain lead, so should be viewed more as an antique collectible.
@@Jeff.Lippman.Presents that’s very helpful Jeff, thank you! Also exactly what I wanted to hear. The tankard is for my dad who was born before lead was removed from gasoline. That being said, I think the damage has been done. I’ll let him know it’s more or less a decoration, but I definitely want to christen it with him before we no longer use it!
One is always wise to avoid drinking from antique pewter. Having said that, a study done in the labs at Winterthur some years ago found that really good pewter from the 18th century showed little measurable lead, while poor quality pewter from the same time period showed a larger quantity of lead. All things considered, no surprise. I suspect, but do not know, that the same might apply to modern pewter, even with the stricter standards on lead. If the pewter is made overseas as a cheap "collectible" to display on a shelf, rather than to use, I would not be surprised to find a higher quantity of lead. I think "you get what you pay for" applies across time.
Thank you! My prod came loose and I didn't know the order of the two rubber pads and single metal piece!
Glad to know that the video helped
Are you from Canada or England originally or elsewhere altogether?
I'm from Brooklyn New York, I originally came to England when I was stationed here in the military, one thing led to another and I went native, and settled down over here.
@Jeff.Lippman.Presents I thought Brooklyn but then I recognised the English tone to your voice and assumed it was the other way around sorry. great video anyway, I'll be doing the same modification tonight with your help. Thank you!
A wonderful video with many questions answered regarding tinder boxes and their correct contents.
My pleasure, I'm glad you enjoyed the video.
Awesome video! I randomly stumbled onto tinderboxes on Wikipedia, but the article was very vague on how they work. This video perfectly demonstrates it. It's fascinating how something everyone knew how to use 200 years ago is now so obscure. I wonder what everyday thing people 200 years from now will be baffled by?
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video. You make a good point regarding the fact of how what we take for granted today, can so easily become the forgotten technology of tomorrow.
Glad to hear you are on the mend and long may it continue. I to have had my fair share of issues and totally agree that the NHS is just fabulous, even though I have to say that, my wife is an NHS Charge Nurse! Lol😂. You take care and congratulations Grandpa.

Really enjoyed your video! I’m always fascinated by the devices and techniques used centuries ago. Thank you so much for these presentations!
You're most welcome, I'm really glad you enjoyed the video.
Really good tool… got one and it’s highly recommended…
It is a good piece of kit to be sure.
if houses weren't so flammable i'd still use this at night
Like anything involving fire, this needs to be used carefully, but it's literally no more dangerous than a match and a candle, so as long as it's being used responsibly, it's quite safe.
Does it still good until now?
Yes, it's in great condition.
Thank you very much. Very informative.
You're welcome, I'm so glad you enjoyed the video.
