thanks to aith for the idea UPDATE: Aith recommended I look under the shrine. It turns out the rain is from the terrain that Wander and later Emon passes through during their journey. In all later versions the rain is gone when Emon passes, which just confirms they reused the cutscene materials when making it. Also emon and the smokeman are stored there too, I don't know why Emon's horse plays ...

For Aith, had some fun E3 Narga Moments™ so I uploaded the whole video. I initially tried just loading to poseidon's temple cutscene via debug but it froze during a transition. The cutscene only has Emon's horse approaching the shrine and then ends. It also seems to play the standard beat a colossi idol break cutscene at the same time which explains the lag.

With apologies to Sam Raimi. Of all the revelations of the new artbook, this was by far the most unexpected. I had known prior that the original only had background music, but what music was used remained a mystery to me. Music obviously belongs to Sony Pictures. Used without permission.

So well animated and yet the player will almost never see it.
