About Dussehra:
Dussehra, also known as Vijayadashami, marks the victory of good over evil. It celebrates Lord Rama’s triumph over the demon king Ravan, symbolizing the victory of dharma (righteousness) over adharma (evil). This day also signifies the conclusion of the nine-day Navratri festival. Across India, Ravan Dahan is performed by burning large effigies of Ravan, Meghnad, and Kumbhkaran, followed by fireworks and cultural events.
