Scuba divers encounter great white shark in Bali
Diving in Crystal Bay, off Nusa Penida in Bali in September 2019 we swam head on into a 5m Great White Shark. Great whites have never before been seen in Indonesia as they are cold water species so it was a strange phenomenon. As a student studying Environmental Management this was an incredible experience, but it does lead us all to wonder what the hell is a Great White doing in Indonesian waters? As our oceans warm, evidence is showing that fundamental ocean currents are being altered so perhaps this video is just the start of misplaced creatures being found in strange territories. Who knows. Or maybe it's always been there and we just got super lucky 🤔😅

what a freak out session, saw the shark for literally 3 seconds max from a distance. Thumb this comment up so others don't waste part of their life watching this disappointment
Hey, way to go Einstein! Not only do you morons do exactly what you shouldn't do, but a once in a lifetime moment and you shoved the camera straight up your unqualifed at lifes sss! Strong work.
I saw alitte glimpse
I grew up around a lot of big bears. You can see, hear, carry adequate defensive means. If you know what you're doing and take it seriously, you'll be fine. Swimming with sharks on the other hand - STOOPID! You can't see or hear, you can't move fast at all, you can be approached from any direction so you're surrounded by blind spots even if you do keep your head on a swivel and once you do run into a shark you really can't do anything to protect yourself. It's not like you can lay down a sheet of heavy firepower. I'm not sorry to say it, at all, but you scuba people are nuckin' futs.
You can see a big shark for seconds 80 ft back
I’m getting sea sick just watching this. The white shark expected better camera work and swam away.

I'm gonna go outside and shakily point my camera at the sky. Title: "Man encounters jumbo jet in California."
You see more shark in the first 10 minutes of Jaws.
Looks like a oceanic white tip to me
Some of those are back door bubbles.
Can’t see anything, but yellowish water
This idiot is yet another leftard trying to lie that the oceans are "warming" so large sharks are migrating ... what a load of utter leftwing lying bullshit.
Total bullshit. There are no great whites in the tropics and especially not in Indonesia. There are tiger sharks which can get very large.
Could be a shark, could be a plastic bag 😂
Wow, they really did everything wrong.
I saw only naked panick . No Shark.
Fire your camera guy😢
This is fake
That shark probably thinking I'm heading for warm water sick of this cold
Terrible reaction. Way too panicked
first learn diving, then learn filming
The shark owns the water, not Indonesia.
where is the shark? what a horrendous video
This was a load of BOWSHEET 🏹 📝 💩
Learn how to control yourself
Act like another predator they say. You’re pathetic. You panicked. Plus there are no GWs in Bali. Fake
There was a shark? 🦈😂
Worst filming I have ever seen.
What shark?? This is just another click bate BS wanna be UA-camr. This is just crap
The video title should be : "HUGE BUBBLES UNDER WATER" or " CAMERA CAUGHT IN RIP CURRENT" 😢😢
Such great footage of the shark 🤣🤣🤣 wtf
So, if you take a camera, why don't you aim it out to capture anything? Isn't that what it's for?
I remember my first dive lol yikes..
Don't drink & dive.
Fake video..must have been a nurse shark 😂
If you scared of sharks, just don't dive... at all
pretty sure it wasn't a great white as there are no recorded sightings of great whites in bali ever. it's not impossible, yes, but it could just probably be a relatively large black tips. i dove many times in bali and all i ever saw was a meter of black tips swimming away avoiding us once they saw us.
GW bij Bali?
Chaotic. like this human endeavor.
Air gauges went from 2000-500 in a few seconds.
Well that's 1:47 that I will never get back....what a waste of time. Why even bother posting this? Ridiculous
The lack bouyancy in most of the divers showed they were poorly trained. The panic by the photographer ensured a rare moment in Bali diving will never be seen. Take their licences away from them they are a risk to themselves and any buddy.
Terrible footage. I’m sick now 🤮
Great whites are not found at Bali. The water is Way too warm.
Das sind keine Taucher ! Das sind absolute Pflegefälle !! Unfassbar wie dämlich man sich diesem Raubtier gegenüber zeigt ! Panisches hin und her . Kein Wunder das es ab und an zu Zwischenfällen kommt . Der hai ist hierbei nicht schuld . #marcrobertlehmann
you can see bubbles from their regulators flowing like crazy. The oceans are the sharks home... sad to notice such devastatation to the reefs. Humans are destroying every thing we touch.
This is what not to do when you see a shark make bunch noise and swim away from it smh
Seems like divers were trying to get to the bottom against a current but with their BCD's full. Much frenzied finning, sucking on their air like there is no tomorrow and shark fleetingly in the distance. The use of the steady cam and good lighting makes this a must watch.
Thats once in a lifetime opportunity totally wasted. Enjoy the moment instead of pannicking and swimming away clumsily as a wounded seal should be a nice option. To actually filming it would have been great too
