Truck Bed MOBILE Detail Setup Plumbing (GRAVITY FED)
Yo I buy car candy as well, love their interior magic plus
Nice work
How are those valves
@@tyriceholliday4151 awful. I ended up ordering a setup from cigar city soft wash.
How has it held up?
@@TCGaming-gu3kv I just did this customers truck last weekend and it’s holding up amazing. It’s outdoor kept and and daily driven too. Impressive stuff.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC seems like Ill be getting some, thanks for the reply
@@TCGaming-gu3kv of course. I’ll do m updated video next time I clean it. My only advice is make sure you prep the paint well and avoid direct sunlight. Super easy to work with.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC gotcha
Not sure why they were telling you that they wished to keep their 4gpm. When I bought my 8gpm, I had zero need for the 4gpm unit. Sold it immediately and glad I did.
@@johnhall7940 really? That makes me want to upgrade. I feel like I’ve outgrown the 4 pretty fast but haven’t pulled the trigger on any upgrades yet.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I cant imagine a 4gpm taking space on my rig.
What a mess lol
Better than a trailer or van 🤷♂️
Love this setup
Great video. How is business in Lakeland? Flooded market or $ to be made?
It’s flooded. I even came down on my prices and get so many tire kickers. I started paver sealing too and it’s the same problem. Lawn care companies are the new $99 guys
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLCappreciate the quick reply. That’s what I’m reading everywhere about central FL. Can you make 60-70k a year? is it just so saturated people are dirt cheap and only willing to hire the cheapest guy?
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLCI’m in NC and we are considering a move to FL for my wife’s job. I have done house washing here and I can get $250 for a standard house wash and $150 or so for a typical 2 car driveway surface clean
Nice setup 💪🏼 Where did you get your proportioner valves…? Link?
cigarcitysoftwash.com/a/p/products/copy-of-priority-mixer
How has that Duromax engine been working for you? Im thinking of getting the 500cc 20hp one.
It does good for its purpose. The small gas tank is inconvenient, but it gets the job done. Starts every time.
Nice man hard work pays off one step at a time ..what size of pressure washer hose is that ???
Thanks man! It’s 3/8. Running an Active 2.0 washer.
Thanks 🙏 man using the same size but wondering if going to a 1/4 will be better any suggestions
@@E21AutoDetailingI would stick with 3/8. If you cut down to 1/4 you’re gonna lose some flow rate. More water = faster rinse time
Nice set up man what size of hose are you using for your pressure washer
3/8
I'm in central florida too and it's totally saturated with cheap detailers lol
It’s ridiculous how cheap people are here I 100% agree
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I am in lakeland and scared to go full time because so many people think $225 for a car is too much for a detail. I can't go any lower than that lol
What size is that bucket of water gallon and where did you get it from
@@LoSoFrmDaGo it was a 3 gallon. I broke it though lol. Think I got it from autzone
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC ok thank you
Looks like you need a 40 mesh inline filter from your water source to the pressure washer. I have 1 at my hose reel and one before the unit
Yes I definitely do need an inline filter!!
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC get one asap bro that can save your pressure washer from burning up from dirt etc getting In . They're 13$ on Amazon for a 1 inch 40 mesh I've even found them for 9.99 and my pressure washer is almost 3,000 protect them at all cost from customers water you won't believe what I pull out my inline filters . One more thing, is that air hose you're using? I have a 100ft of 1/2 flexzilla, which I'm debating if I should've gotten it.
Love the video bro!!! Where are you located??? I'm setting up my 1/2 5.5gpm softwash system. Im just going to batch mix for house washes, but I think I need to add another 100ft to give myself 200 total. How much run time are you getting from that battery? What do you use to recharge it with?
Thanks for watching! I’m in Lakeland, FL. I would definitely go with 200ft or at least 150. Otherwise you’ll be forced to drive in peoples yards. I’m running flexzilla currently too but it’s deteriorating pretty fast and kinks up pretty bad now that I’ve got some use in it.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC Yeah, I hear ya... I was thinking that too... Well, how long does a full battery last on that battery?
@@KingdomKleenPW so I’m not sure how long it lasts completely, but it lasts for a full days worth of work. I put it on the tender every night.
Promo`SM 🤭
Thank you
shes hot
I have a 5x8 Trailer and was debating on converting it. I bought a tank like that to put on it. Just need to figure out how to plumb it. I was going to run a very similar soft wash system as well. Without batch mixing. Are you using that 20" surface cleaner with the 4GPM without an issue?
Yeah thankfully I’ve never had to batch mix. I do a lot of down steaming and only usually break out the 12v to pre and post treat concrete. And that’s actually a 16” BE cleaner. I had a knock off 20” and it did okay but the 16 definitely runs better with the 4gpm.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC I've had somebody telling me they run a 20" with a 4gpm, but you have to walk slower with it. It may actually be quicker with a 16" Do you feel like you cover a good area with the 16"? I have a 14" right now, but with a 2.3 GPM, it isn't great lol.
Am stuck at 66 subs lol
Only a Matter of time before someone does on the highway with you running a single axle trailer with that tote. If you’re not driving with that weight you’re still filling up on a job and that’s too much weight for that trailer. As far as the small machine, yeah man, if you wanna do the job right and quick and 8 gallon permanent machine is the way to go there’s no way you’re doing two or three jobs a day with that little machine and doing it the right way
Hey bro what truck cover is that? looking to get one myself
I’m not sure what brand it is exactly. I got it at a topper store. Cheapest one they had. Works great.
I was thinking about buying that same trailer off of market place, but im deciding to just save my money and build my own. These arent bad for 5k, but i just want to be hands on with the build.
Yeah it isn’t worth 5k. The guy was really nice, but it was definitely a rushed build and the softwash setup was pulling straight bleach because they don’t use metering valves. You could get more for 5k in your own build for sure.
@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC yea I figured it wasn't. I been doing alot of research on stuff and I saw I could get all the Tanks for around $150 bucks so how was it worth 5k.
Do you think that the reason the sh doesn't corrode the trailer as much when aired out is because it being exposed to air and not in a closed container weakens the chemical?
Doug Rucker has a video about venting your SH tank on his channel. He explains it better than I do. From what I can tell, venting it may actually keep it more stable if you store your trailer outside. There’s some controversy behind it, but the corrosion seems to be a lot more manageable since I added the vent.
Sorry for the audio. Next time I won’t film next to my generator 😅
Good efficient setup buddy. I just upgraded my honda gx 390 from a 4gpm to a 5.5gpm by just adding a new pump to the engine. Im not sure if you already do this but a good trick for downstreaming is using the xjet m5 twist for soaping, and then switching to the xjet (the one with the brass barb coming out the bottom) for rinsing. The orifice hole on the xjet is small and doesnt allow the injector to pull chemical so its basically a manual on and off switch without having to walk to the trailer.
Great advice. Thank you!!
I have a 5*8 too. Nice setup. How long has your Delevan lasted. ?
Thanks! I’ve had it for 6 months now with no issues. I rinse for like 5 minutes after each job though.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC great advice. I wasn't rinsing long enough on my everflo 5.5. it only lasted a few weeks. Had a delavan 5.0 prior to that lasted a year. I may get a 7.0 like yours and keep as a spare, hopefully good further distance.
Nice rig man !! What do you use on fleet washing and how are you charging
I use pretty much 100% car candy products. My prices have ranged from 150-350 per unit. 150 for vans inside & out up to 350 for dump trucks inside & out. I charge more for commercial than I do residential.
How long do those pump sprayer last?
Honestly they’re really inconsistent lol. I go through them like crazy between detailing and pressure washing
Super nice build!
Thank you for watching!
The vibe i got from your name, you might of actually held through the dips. I didnt and lost out on an actual fortune. Sold all my btc when it was 3800 in like 2018? The very next day it was $3300 and i felt great about decision, then within a few days it made a complete recovery and it was over 10k. For months and months i would log in and see my value dropped again. It was a slow bleed and i got squeezed out at the very end.
lol it’s rare that people know the meaning of the name. I hit a good win in 2020 during Covid and used the funds to build my detailing business. I still hold XRP til the cows come home 🚀
All Ponzi's some have to lose big for others to make big. Crypto is the most successful pyramid scheme ever created
@@user-ep2es1mp5r Absolutely. I have no desire for actually using a block chain or Bitcoin. Would be terrible actually. I did make a 35x return on my investment in crypto. I haven't touched it since I got burned when BTC left bear market and made the wild recovery. Let's just say I lost out on millions and I'll never forget it.
Nice trailer man! I have the predator 4.2 GPM and I've been looking at a 8 GPM as well but also thinking about the 5.5 GPM. I think I'm going to do the 5.5 first and if the season goes good I will get the 8 GPM. You can check my trailer out as well.lets have a amazing wash season.
I honestly wouldn’t mind having both on a trailer for water use purposes. Appreciate the input!!
I have the 4GPM I think the 5GPM would be the perfect all round pump
I just got an offer to clean a hotel build my so now my mind is spinning about an 8 gpm again. I could probably fit an 8 on my trailer but that’s expensive lol.
It is but u got the buffer tank for it so take the jump lol
You could always swap out your 4pm pump for a 5-5.5gpm pump on that engine… you will have less pressure but should still be sufficient for everything you mentioned. Save from buying a whole different machine that way.
Yeah I’m not sure exactly what I want to do yet. That’ll likely be my next upgrade though.
Love the channel name and the build. Great job. I’m helping my son who’s 16 start up and don’t want to over complicate it.
Thank you! Yeah it’s super user-friendly and easy to maintain.
Dang that worked pretty good. Wd40 works good too but idk if it works as good as that.
is the car ceramic coated?
No turtle wax seal & shine
no way! that's incredible! do you know if they sell this in a 16oz bottle?
I don’t believe they do but they might. It’s sold in a metal can because of the chemicals in it.
How many oz did you put in the foam cannon?
I’d say around 5-6. I eyeball it usually.
Greetings from Melbourne! Is car candy made in Florida?
Yes, it is!
I sent you a message on instagram asking for some advice for beginners in the business. Was curious to what is the best way to deal with payments from customers while being mobile? How to deal with being in many different locations detailing dos and dont’s
Did I miss your message or did I respond? Make sure you got the right IG. diamond_handsdetailingllc But since you asked, that’s a great video idea for my channel so I think I’ll do a video this week on that. Message me on IG though and I can help too.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC yes I believe it’s the right ig because I recognize your logo. It’ll be a message from Lowes lawn care..and it wasn’t a rush or anything..more or less just was trying to make sure it was the right one so I hopped on here to reach out as well..
Nice! I’m gonna run up there tomorrow to pick some up.
It’s awesome stuff. Been using it for 3 years now.
For the drying agent I use Formula 4 from Superior Products. I’ll give this product a try though.
I’ve had better luck with radiant rinse than Formula 4. You can tell Radiant rinse is a dedicated rinse agent whereas I’ve gotten streaks from Formula 4 if I don’t rinse quick enough. Thanks for watching!!!
Wow ! How long does it say it last ?!
I don’t believe the protection has much longevity, but it makes the drying process soooo much easier! Thanks for watching!
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC glad someone finally did a video on it ! I’m sold
Where in central florida do you detail?
Polk Co
Love the set up! I’m gathering all information to start my own detailing business as well. For your water, do you have a deionizing filter on the tank or at home?
It’s a big tank that i have at home. Bought it on RV mods. I also live close to the Car Candy detail store and you’re able to fill up with spot free water there too.
@@DiamondHandsDetailingLLC do you have instagram or something else to dm for advice and tips? I have some questions from time to time, that’s if you don’t mind.
What size is your water tank, I have the same truck I was going to get a 100 gallon tank but I wanna keep the low profile
It’s 60. Honestly if you are good with going bigger the 100 would prevent refills during a full work day, but 60 is definitely nice for low pro
You need a van bro. It just looks all cluttered and overwhelming to get in that truck but hey each to its own I guess.
It’s not as bad as you think. Everything is within arms reach and I just make sure I put everything back where it belongs rather than crawling into a van to fill water, find materials etc. A fully built high roof van would be nice but then I lose accessibility like I have with the truck. It does get a little cluttered after a day or 2 of work though lol.
I use a 98 chevy Astro. Best rig in my opinion. It does have almost 400k on the odometer so I’m thinking about using my gmc sierra 1500 with a 6.5 ft bed. 1 reason I believe the truck is better is the insurance. Insurance companies want an arm and a leg for cargo vans.
You definitely don't need a van. A truck works just as well. A trailer too. You don't have to it or pay for insurance gas or maintenance
shes hot ngl
Nice 😊
