Great to see you back James. You’re looking well. That’s a long tunnel and great workout with lifts out of order!! How long is the tunnel in total? Greenwich is a lovely area. We took a river trip to there a few years ago and spent the day looking around when we stayed.

Although you can never have too many bikes, I’d free up space by getting rid of one of your current bikes (as your flat won’t get any bigger!) And I’d wait for the new bike - you’re local bike shop will undoubtably appreciate your custom and you never know, it may arrive in time for your birthday! Oh and love the jersey! Cracking return vlog James 🙌🏻 winter bike, I would choose to keep the one you enjoy riding the most out of the two you’re deciding. Your new Orro bike sounds fab. Tim and I ordered Ribbles for winter bikes back in November, not expecting them until June (hopefully) if that helps deciding what to do. Your new jacket/jersey is a great colour. Another great journey! Impressed at the fact that you don’t have to travel too far to find some greenary. And I loved the bike review - will definitely think of purchasing one for myself! (Except that I will never go to the Dark side - mountain bikes forever! 🤣🤣🤣🤪)

BTW I’m enjoying the Vlogs, but find the riding alarming... too much the back seat driver, or should that be pillion rider?! 😃

Regarding the nutrition/energy, I used to find anything up to an hour in the saddle, didn’t seem to make much difference if I ate anything. Over that time, without a gel or a bar I’d “bonk” and energy levels would be down for the few hills we get round here. Popping something every half hour, whether I felt like it or not helped no end. From what I’ve read the experts seem to agree. I’m running more than riding at the moment. I’m not a natural and I’m finding the right meals make a difference. Something bagely two hours before seems to work. Refuelling afterwards seems to be important, days when I have a protein shake straight after the run leave me feeling ok the next day. If I don’t eat properly, next day I’m a creaking mess... or so it seems. All a learning curve, but any advice much appreciated.
