I realized that when Tonic leaped back he probably doesn’t remember this song. He probably wondered how he made it and tried to capture the original spirit behind it only to find he can’t recall. So Tonic is left with a performance he can’t duplicate with a song that wasn’t his. And that’s sad.
I adored this episode. I’ve just rewatched it. 30 years later, and I’d lay money down that Scott Bakula still has a speck of glitter on him somewhere. That stuff is near impossible to get rid of entirely. I’d personally volunteer to check every inch of his body, for scientific reasons, or something. 😅
Sam did push them off. There were three of them pushing him back until he hit the bed. He pushed them off and carried them out the door. He didn't get in trouble.
I like this tune, I also like how the lyrics kind of go with the whole story of the quantum leap series. It's like these lyrics are about the sam character of quantum leap.
If people listen to the words of this song carefully it is actually a masterpiece about time travelling! and that final chorus puts the hairs up on the back of the neck!......."PLEASE make there be one final leap!" 😭❤
Well in the Quantum Leap canon, King Thunder was a British Glam Rock act which was reminiscent of Sweet, Slade, Suzi Quattro, Bowie, Gary Glitter and T-Rex which was big in 1973 in the real world, but this song and King Thunder were set in 1974. And KISS were formed in 1973 so yeah
This song, Fate's Wide Wheel, is on the Quantum Leap CD, along with other songs Scott sang on the series, along with other songs! I have it and really love the sound quality!
i just wanna say, you know how as the show goes on sams swiss cheese memory slowly recovers? and he slowly remembers things? in the show he remembers his brother, sister, dad,mum al and even gushi. but he never remembers his wife donna. i think i know why. a lot of people think its because sam never really liked her and thats why he cant remember her but i think its because in the original history sam never married donna. she never showed up at their wedding and sam never saw her again. and then in s1e3 he meets donna when she was 19 and does something in the past to make it so they ended up together. so sam changed history so that they were married. so i think since sam is the time traveller his memory isnt altered so the reason he cant remember her is because he remembers the original timeline where they never were married. and in s4e1 the leap back he remembers donna because since he has returned home, his memory shifted from the original timeline to the altered one. but at the end of the episode and he gets trapped in time again, it shifts back to the original timeline.
I would say you are correct except for the end part. He didn't know he was married to her because he wasn't when he leaped but also he forgot everything again when he leaped so it didn't go back to the previous timeline.
The 1 and ONLY thing that sucks about this performance and this EXCELLENT song is that it is WAY too short. I watched it when it aired for the first time on Quantum Leap a lifetime ago. Now I'm a fan of NCIS New Orleans......
Every episode that Scott Bakula sang was a favorite to me. I was 10 when I fell in love with Quantum Leap and have only fell in love more now that I'm 40.
God I wish Scott chose music more I'm a life long fan an amazing actor, but also such a talented singer, I want Rock the red head in full.
This was great! Do another! Please! With Shatner singing!
Getting a little teary-eyed here...
Scott has an amazing voice and most do not know he sang this.
this is so cool
Hd

This song makes me want a Quantum Leap musical

Sounds like Uriah Heep in the 80s, if David never had left the band. 🎸⚔️🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥⚔️
😢
I wonder who actually sang the song in the background when they were signing albums tho (into 14mins of the episode)
😎👍🏽🔥🔥🔥
Absoultely moving performance and this show is so amazing on so many levels.
Love the songs I like rock the redhead ❤️ Scott Bakula has an amazing voice and this episode shows a different side of it

I hate it when girls go for him. Why don't he just push them off?? Instead of getting himself in trouble. Really annoying!!!!

Kind of? They are spot on. It is about Sam.

good job
What season was this one ?
Third season. Episode 13
This should've been the theme song! Somehow this song fit exactly what he was doing!
Scott Bakula really has a wonderful voice
David Byron's style.🎤⚔️🔥
Is they before the band kiss was a thing?
The episode is set in 1975 and KISS started in 1973. They were called Wicked Lester before that though and started in 1970.
Also, this episode was done in 1991... Kiss was already unmasked then with millions of albums sold.
To this very day, this is one of the absolute best episodes in TV history. It's so iconic in so many ways!
💯💯💯💯💯
is this a cover of something? it's so beautiful
Believe it or not, song and Lyrics by William Shatner
the beginning, Brenda's $20 Dilemma by sprinkles
By the way, Lx - 453, great job editing the episode into a video. Goes great and sets the mood right.
The me I am is all that's real to me. 🤟😤
But in my soul this hope burns free, oh pls let there be one final leap. 🤟🔥
The pain of a time traveler lost in time.... put into this SOULFUL piece of art. HOOWA 🤟😤
Glitter rock was my first Quantum leap episode and I was hooked
I’m really disappointed they never put up the songs from this episode. They were pretty damn good.
This song, Fate's Wide Wheel, is on the Quantum Leap CD, along with other songs Scott sang on the series, along with other songs! I have it and really love the sound quality!
Al and his air guitar!!! RIP Dean Stockwell
Super Cool Episode 😎 👌
