These are pictures taken of the installation of a T-25 type turbo on our 1914 VW powered Baja. I'm going to add video in the near future, and supply a parts list of what we used.

VMax carb rebuild completed and the bike re assembled. It's a completely different bike now!

VMax carbs rebuilt, mounted and synchronized with a Motion Pro "Cheap" tool. It worked flawlessly , I didn't have any of the problems I've read about online with the tool. The synch screw for left to right bank is super touchy,after this video I moved it less than a 16th of an inch to balance both sides perfectly.

I always wonder why but every turbo aircooled vw turbo setup I've seen the carb is mounted on the side of the turbo this is one of tje first I've seen where the air is directed too the carb. can anyone tell me why they're usually mounted sideways?
You're used to seeing what is called a draw through setup, because the turbo draw the air/fuel mix through the carb, but this is a blow through setup because the turbo blows the mixture through the carb. Blow through setups are not as common on turbo VWs but they are much better as far as power production, throttle response, and emissions, though they are more expensive, and more difficult to tune.

Sounds Great ! Ive been looking at exhaust for my 85 vmax and it seems like this one sounds the best though I've never heard any in person. Everyone says the Marks are good but I cant really tell in videos. What type of re-jetting did you have to do ? How long did it take to do the whole job ? thanks
How strong are these engines? Ever consider putting a second bigger turbo ? Like a t3/t4
This one isn’t stock displacement so I’m assuming it’s build so probably could handle it but a stock vw 1600 can only handle like 7 psi or so

i really like the set up.i have the same engine like urs but with dual 44's i was wondering will i be able to keep the dual caburators and still put a turbo.
