From Hergott lake you went down to where my coach used to lilve, for Oaks Hotel. All that area didnt have trees in the 1980s at all, and the lake was very visible, now its hidden. Me and my brother used to catch turtles in that lake

Just managed to get a Glimpse of the house i lived in as a kid from 1980-1989. MAN they removed the tree. There are soooo many trees in the back of the house I know dad planted fir trees at the top of the garden, as it goes up on an incline. Their probably the trees he planted as we moved from EL in 1989

Just past esten park public school at 1:45 the first left was where my friends used to live, and the nasty man up the road, that street brought some baaaaaaaad memories for me.

you took a left at 13:33 heading towards Baumiere cres i think where my friend lived. At 14:49 there was a path leading down towards a lake. At the bottom of the path the forest on the right hand side caught fire in 1986 I later found out a friend of mine set that on fire

What did they do to Esten Park Public school with all the colors? did the change the physical structure? I lived here from 1980-1989 havent been back since but nice to see It looks as though the school has significantly changed. I was also wondering are you able to take a right into the school grounds where the field is and record that area leading towards the Fresh Water Fountain and up on to Hergott ave where I lived for some years. I lived at #14 Hergott Ave. We were the first people to live in that house as it was a new development in 1980. I was 6yrs old then and have thousands of pics of canada and quite a bit of elliot lake including video tapes of #14 hergott ave inside. I would love to see how that property has changed. I also recall we were the first on that street to plant the Tree in the front garden of #14 hergott ave which was still there according to google maps

You only showed the newest part of town if such can be called. Take a tour down Central, Spruce, Valley Crescent, Westview Crescent and Birch, Oak Hill and show the Old Town that's grown up with mature vegetation Go show the lakefront in the older parts of town all the way out to spine Beach.

Unreal. It used to be a like a small town up there with all the mining buildings and equipment. All of the mining roads around EL led to stuff like that. Now, aside from the fences and warnings, it's like there was nothing there. Crazy...

At 13:34 you went up a long street, on the right you can see a big rock sticking out, we used to call that bum rock due to the huge crack. Also sad to see a large gap in the landscape the mall is gone due to its collapse. Ny dad used to tell use about the leaks stemming back as gad as 1984.

You went straight down my street hergott ave ty. I have seen this street since 1989. And the tree that was sitting in the garden at #14 was planted when i was 10,11 yrs old. Google street view showed it in 2006 and was massive but now gone? Shame..

Enjoyed your tour around Elliot Lake. I used to live there back in my HS days (late 60's) and remember a lot of the roads you went down. But lots of new buildings, homes and roads I am unfamiliar with. Still have very fond memories of hunting, fishing, getting lost in the bush..2 times, dances at the Brannon center, having to go to the hospital for stitches because in our science class, we were making rocket fuel...BOOM.! It was a pretty wild time in Elliot Lake back then. Believe it or not, during plays at the HS, we actually did skits with real shot guns...Unloaded of course. And back then, blue jeans were not allowed in school. Mr. Dixon (principal) ran a tight ship and I was glad to call him a personal mentor. Again, thanks for the ride down memory lane.
