Understandable. Water usage is like sun exposure compared to solar. These units are hyper efficient but it definitely depends on how much water you use AND how frequent you use water. Do you know your average gallons per day?

@@AaronLempert I do understand how people start to feel this way, the alt energy space is absolutely full of fly by night companies and con men. I am actively trying to shop for solar and the sales pitches are dizzying. Hard to tell what is very real. I would love it if just once a salesperson was able to give me a balanced picture of what is very typical with homes in their first five years when reality has to back up the rosy optimism of the solar company reps.

This manufacturer has patents on many kinetic energy designs. They determined in home hydropower was the most efficient and widely available to the majority of homeowners.

If you’re on low pressure well water then it’s not applicable. If you’re on city water it usually enters your home at 60+ psi. That high pressure goes through this unit into a flywheel and spins for minutes after any water usage. You don’t need high flow past your intake. It’s designed for normal water usage from taking a shower to running a dishwasher. Does that make sense?

This unit typically lowers water pressure by less than 2% but the homeowner won’t notice because it’s plumbed into the home before your pressure a reducing valve. Make sense?

CA is the just about the only state where batteries are necessary with NEM 3.0. If your utility does time of use, or has bad net metering rates, then batteries help. For almost everyone else, they are expensive and eat away at the cost effectiveness of going solar. The reason I make these videos is to educate about ways to reduce electric costs. 99% of the use cases for batteries go against that point. As time goes on and net metering changes, so will my viewpoint and discussion on reducing cost compared to the utility. Sounds like you have a great setup in CA though! Way to get creative with the salvaged Tesla models!
