Why does it sound like one of the smoke detectors of the lobby of my house back in London for some reason?

I’m curious, do the EDA detectors have multiple sounds or do they only have only one tone?

I think I actually had one of these back in London. At my old English school, I think. I can’t remember the name of the school, but… I think there were one of these cuboid-like fire alarms that had the same sound. But the only exception is that they didn’t have the big white strobe. It was just a small LED on the bottom right. I think one of them was exactly the EDA electro-detectors and whatnot. I’m curious here, do the fire alarms have anymore sounds or is that it?

The ‘hochiki and fulleon’ is incorrect. Fulleon sounds slightly different.

What’s clever is my school has some deaf students, and so before the alarm goes off there is a loud continuous beep that plays over the tannoy and then the alarm sounds but they are very quiet.

4 days ago. It was raining in the uk. And it was 12:26 and fire alarm went off 3 times for literally no reason so we evacuated the school for 1 minute. 1 minute later it stopped and went back to class and every teacher realised it was a wet play alarm. So it’s no longer a fire alarm for us.

My school back on the day had a really old electric gent bell from 50 or 60 and it beeps 5 times to switch lesson.
