Why drive so fast. You miss some of the beauty
Great video. The constant inane chapter god old.
are trails for quads and side x sides only? looks too narrow for jeeps.
Meh, I'd rather run a Jeep.
Frankly a Jeep is pretty boring in comparison. Sure having AC and heat can be nice but beyond that, nope I'll stick to my side by side.
Sure is a lot quicker on a dirtbike... In fact you can see the the faint smooth line the 2 wheelers are taking. Looks like a lot of fun and you had a decent day for it. Thanks for the video.
Hard to tell in the video, but I’ve heard there is dispersed camping off this trail? We’ll have a overland fullSize truck and a utility trailer (one of those little Home Depot ones) with 2 dirt bikes. Any sites accessible with that setup?
There are camping spots up this valley but getting a bit busy in the summer and sometimes full.
I love Pitkin ! And going over Columbine pass to Tin Cup .
Looks like awesomeness!!
Was this going over Taylor Pass?
Are you running in 4wd low going downhill? Why?
You get some engine braking benefits in low, anything to help control speed. The trails are steeper than they appear in the vids.
I'll bet that belt in the CVT transmission was smoking hot.
Actually no, we are still on the original belt. No problems at all.
@@mckeanbrosoffroad150 We used to camp at Middle Quartz and ride the entire area, clear over to Taylor Reservoir, Alpine Tunnel, etc.. Love the area.
Was just there this weekend. Stayed at Lakeview campground which is beautiful and a connector trail leads to anywhere. Mirror lake and the pass to St Elmo are awesome but will get busy. Tincup and Frenchys are a great stop. My Commander 700xt handled everything well.
bro!enjoyed!total amazing view.
Thanks for the visit
Hiya!-gorgeouus uploading. mate.
Thank you! Cheers!
Very pretty scenery and enjoying music
Thank you. I'm very much an amateur so not a very good video but I certainly appreciate the compliment.
We are going July 1……riding motorcycles…..trying to figure best trails out of Buena vista…..and other recommendations as to routes/trails ?
I was thinking of taking my 2022 AWD Transit van over that pass but after this video I'll "pass". We would have to do a lot of road work, probably a week or more, and Cumberland Pass is so much easier with the same scenery. Good job on the video! Thanks!
How long did it take you to do the loop from St. Elmo > Piketon > Tin Cup > St. Elmo? I’m planning a trip this July to do that route.
Towards the end you were driving so fast, like an idiot.
What month was this recorded?
I think it was in July

We have a cabin near Hancock trail. I love driving up to the mine and since your video the road is now more washed out and more dangerous to drive. I would advise not taking a rzr up there anymore
Hancock Pass Elmo side sucks these days. Over populated with all vehicles. My XCat does better than my Badass Jeep did there. Low Center of Gravity!! UTV's....... What would you advise to take?
@@jeepgreg8064 I'd advise a dirtbike if you do that. You are very right about there being so many vehicles and dirtbikes make it far easier to get around.
We wanted to try the route from Napoleon Pass down to Tincup in 2000, but the route north from the pass was only single track at the time.
This road is in a lot better shape than it was 30 years ago.
Thanks for the video. You are giving great ride suggestions. My wife and I are looking forward to our trip to the area this coming September.
Thank you for watching. It's an amazing place to ride and you'll have a blast.
When did you make the trip? Thanks for sharing your video.
We were there about 1 year ago. Such an amazing area to ride and take in the views.
Love this trail, rode it several times from Pitkin. First attempt didn't make it to the top because of rain.
It was one of our favorites. It decided to rain on us right as we got to the top so it was a real quick visit ;)
Planning to take a trip here in August. Any recommendations?
Take layers and good rain gear! It gets cold in those higher elevations on short notice, especially when it rains. We got caught in rain several times. Awesome place to ride. Have a good GPS app on your phone or tablet. We used a Samsung tablet with OnX offroad app. OnX was awesome for figuring out which trails we wanted to do...lots of valuable info.
Great videos, will be going there in two weeks. Can not wait to ride the area as we will be staying in Taylor Park.
Thank you Mark. Frankly the videos are pretty boring...they don't do the place any justice. It's amazing there. This was our first offroad trip there. You'll love it!
