I would get rid of windows in a heart beat for a fully fledged out steamos that ran on any pc set up. ARM or not. Doesn't matter. Just give me a platform that's just for gaming and has the potential to do other things.

You guys should be In each other's Family Share libraries and have a super library of games and call it SteamPass!

Give it a few months/years and something else will pop up given the code was open source. They cant change the law so they go after the individual who has no way to fight the giant that is Nintendo.

If emulation is stealing, is buying and selling pre-owned games stealing? If you are selling a pre-owned game, you are making money from Nintendo/Sony’s work etc and denying them a potential sale!

Yuzu is still working…… I have no issue with emulation if there is no other way to buy a game etc. There is no way to pay Nintendo for a new copy Wind Waker or Sega for Panzer Dragoon Saga etc. I don’t think these games should be lost to time, but maybe try to fund those companies in other ways. Nintendo still charges premium prices for outdated and poor quality hardware (the stick drift issue on joy-cons is still a thing,but Nintendo quite happily charge top prices for these), so I’m not surprised people want to emulate their games on better quality hardware.

I never set up a sudo password, but it's telling me that my password is incorrect whenever I enter it. I tried going to my user settings to set one up from there, but it prompted me to enter my old sudo password. Again, I never set one up before.... very frustrating. Now I have to create a repair file on my usb stick. All because I wanted a higher framerate on Windwaker.

Playstation will make up any excuse to upcharge you... they were even charging for upgrades from using the haptics and the "special" audio. This is why God of War Ragnarok isnt doing as well as 2018's in player counts and mixed reviews last time i saw it.

Just a small point, if you own a physical copy of Horizon Zero Dawn, and you own the digital only PS5 you can’t get the £10 upgrade as you obviously can’t insert your PS4 disc…

6 out of 10 State of play for sure... Ghost saved what would of been a 4, but that game still looking like it can be DLC for Ghost of Tsushima and that can still run on a ps4.

I like Ubisoft games. And yet, like you said, the best ones were some time ago. I see that Ubisoft will be doing some ‘fixes’ to Outlaws covering the stealth mechanic, more saves during stealth only missions and better AI for the NPC’s - once done I will jump in!

I actually like Star Wars OutLaws but if you're not a fan of the old trilogy this isnt a game for ya. It feels like a Hogwarts game for StarWars. Go watch David Jaffes take on it and its his game of the year, same with Jeff Grubb who really likes the game ans is his top 10 of the year

Game & Watch from the 80s had a magnet in it; it was in the speaker - so magnets and electronics is a bit of an old wives tale. They can interfere with the bits that do radio, but nothing that cant be cheaply and simply fixed with some shielding aka a Faraday cage (EMI shield). Remember when the older iphones had that plastic strip around them? That was because the case was largely metal and blocked all the RF. It's largely solved these days in the iPhone by having a front and rear made from glass (or plastic). In other devices the heatsink usually does double duty as an EMI shield; have a look inside a laptop or steamdeck for examples.

These will be in full production now, so factories will leak. Looking forward to it, although I’ll see how the product stack will shake out in terms of OLED and Lite versions.

It was always going to end in tiers. I had one of those update 3 years of Gold to Gamepass type deals; but when it ran out let it lapse as I never used it enough to justify the expense - and i'd rather just pick stuff up on Steam which will nominally stay in my library forever. I never remembered to check Gamepass when there's like 6-700 titles in Steam. The other big problem with Gamepass is they pull titles from it constantly so if it was something I wanted to play or worse yet halfway through playing - then I end up having to buy it anyway. P5 Royal and Plague Tale: Requiem spring to mind.

Bazzite does seem intimidating to me even though it should be seamless. May be a dumb question but does split screen gaming work with Bazzite? Like if you hooked up a mini PC running Bazzite to a TV with 2 Bluetooth controllers would it work easily?
