I agree that older was better , no rollbar , no helmit . let the gearheads have their fun . in 1972 in springfield Illinois 12000 ss . the jd 4320s were 20 ft short .3 1066 s charles Declerc s G1000 vista and a 1456 from Iowa pulled out . the first pulloff the G1000 and the 1456 pulled out again . they added a bunch. of weight and pulled again the G1000 went about 40 ft. the 1456 must have had a turbo stack because he pulled it out a 3rd time.

Dave farmed with 2 4wd tractors. 1 was an oliver and the other was an Minneapolis Moline, both ran on LP... as a kid, those tractors were awesome to see..

Jeezum, Bill! I remember seeing some of them pull down here, mainly at the Prince William County Fair, but I can't name any of them. My memory is probably blurred by either alcohol or lack of sleep, and maybe both!😂

Thanks for sharing. This is an example of the tractor and truck pulling in other states too! Fond memories of Labor Day weekend at Wakefield VA and start school the day with 2 hours of sleep, good times!
