TMEA 2022 all-state philharmonic orchestra rehearsal
Can I ask what you have playing in your headphone? Is it like a drone or a metronome or something?
@@EachDayForever its the music that I’m playing along to
@gregoryf4186 thank you. I thought you were in an actual orchestra rehearsal but realize that you probably added the track in 😅
This is so beautiful
Crazy stamina dude, my hands would get locked after the second line.
Gosh, it sounds amazing.
great job, keep it up!
Great ❤❤
Let's go! A fellow bass player!!
Nice!
Sounds awesome. What arrangement are you using?
@@leifdering3600 just playing straight off the parts
Ewww taking the exposition repeat yucky JK really nicely played!
😅
Wow that is very good and Wonderful
I support you man! I'm not as good but I can play sonatina in G minor on the double bass so I do understand! Love for music❤️
Why HDR? Now i have to lower my brightness and raise it again to read the coments
I just recorded it with my phone camera lol
Awesome playing!
Awesome job man your good keep it up!
💦
Great playing!
:O
Will you ever attempt this piece again?
@@Dmitri_S.C.H it is likely that I’ll play this again at some point in my career.
@@gregoryf4186 Excited to hear you tackle this piece again. Your interpretation is a first for me!
@@Dmitri_S.C.H thank you! There’s probably things that I’d do differently this time around
This excerpt humbles me in every way shape and form 🤣
Your phrasing is really interesting. Ive never heard a performance like this and your use of articulation makes every passage way more unique. This was a fantastic performance and besides the questionable intonation at times which sucks but what can you do yk. This was a great and cant wait to see more performances of this piece and others.
@@Dmitri_S.C.H thank you! Developing good Intonation on double bassist a life long journey, I’ve definitely improved a lot since then.
There were a couple intonation errors but for the most part this was spot on! The runs were pretty clean and your tone was pretty good but the recording doesn’t do it justice. Good job!
@@Dmitri_S.C.H definitely quite a few intonation errors haha
I really love this scherzo
Beautifully done. If you had to nit-pick one thing, I'd just say to work on the clarity of the descending notes on the beggining. Keep it spicatto, just give the bow a little more weight and length. Besides that, well done.
Thanks! Will keep that in mind when I play this excerpt again.
I speak for everyone in the bass section that either we want a c extension or a five string
Pov when I finally convince my teacher to let me play on the extension you didn't fail
Which recording?
@@Atomic_pavarotti I believe it was proms 2012
@@gregoryf4186 proms?
I play bassoon and I thought my part was hard….well….i suppose all the parts are hard
Cool, can you record the excerpts from Beethoven 5? Thanks
@@slavt.1297 I’ll get to them eventually
Bravo 👏, Bravo
can i ask how long u’ve been playing the bass for?? damn
@@gabyy3592 about 6-7 years now
Great!!! What's the black spot on the bridge under your G string?
@@giacomomariapini5146 tone filter, helps to eliminate the nasal quality of the g string
How do you sync music with your own audio?
@@Atomic_pavarotti i play along with the music in my earbud and then add it over the video with Filmora.
can u make a video like this for mozart don giovanni overture from like rehearsal c to d (i think its around m99-m120) we r doing it in youth orchestra but i've litreally just been faking for the difficult passage at 113-118 lol
@@ayushrudra8600 I will look at it
LETS GO! ANOTHER DOUBLE BASS PLAYER!!
Nice!
Awesome playing! The scream at the end had me rolling 🤣
😊
Thqts really good. I like these videos, it shows the individual instrument in such a way ehere you can appreciate it more.
@@CarterFelixOfficial glad you like them!
Do you you still play french sometimes?
@@nathanbegel4505 I do, mainly German now
Get the finger tapes
@@natewilson111 no, although yes the intonation needs work.
@@gregoryf4186 Just joking with ya. My friends at music school and I would always say it
@@natewilson111 ah haha, that is one way to tell someone to work on intonation 😂
