The best part of Gen 8 was easily the competitive scene. Legitimately one of the most balanced and well made mix of Pokémon, mechanics, etc. Gen 9's isn't terrible, but just doesn't feel as fun or varied.

I cannot believe the goal era of pokemon was essentially buying the same game for the same prices without everything from the previous games in it. Pokemon really is just nostalgia.
