Make sure your axe is tuned to open E (tune the 2nd & 3rd strings up two semitones, and the 4th string up a semitone).

@@sgmeta thanks, it was a '91 Am Std strat => nova delay => '68 vibro champ, everything stock. Nova delay was on digital delay tone rather than analog

Mostly minor and major 7ths, a 9th, and an 11th I think. I'll post the chords. From there it's just dropping and adding fingers.

Your guitar tone is amazing, really clean sounding, although not being "clean". lol
This is how Johnny's tone sounds before it gets mixed. There's a video on YT where he talks about his gear and his tone and explains that he almost never had the "clean" tone people attribute to him. His tone exists in it's own world, and this guy did a great job emulating it.
